The guide says 6:30 to 8:00 on foxtell.

Thats the whole draft right not just top 10 or first round into detail?

If so ill be tuning into SEN aswell.

I'm on a 6:15 flight back from Sydney on Thursday night.... fortunately flying Virgin Blue, and for $4.95 you can watch foxtel all the way back to Melbourne......It could be an interesting flight for those seated close to me... especially when I light up a big fat cigar after we've drafter Scully and Trengove.

From what I understand they are going to have the first ten draft selections in camera, they are then going to televise the clubs calling their selections from ten down to one. Rather pointless but obviously someone got paid a lot of money to think that concept up.

AFL will have a live draft tracker for those of us like myself who do not have Foxtel. I am very interested to see what happens outside pick 5 (as the top 5 picks are concrete). I won't watch it live, having a draft tracker will do me just fine!

OOH I will be watching!! Got it all worked out. Straight home from work, switch on the telly, grab the drinks and munchies and lock the doors. No phones, no visitors unless they are Dees fans and wish to watch.

This is my time and cant wait to see what happens.

For us Qlders that makes it 5.30 - 7pm . Is it Fox 1 or 2 ? Does anyone know for sure?

Scully, Trengove and then it's anyone's guess. I hope they dont take Ball with one of those picks and they are bluffing but if they do, well I guess one good thing is we stick it up the Pies!!

I dont not want him now and I only really did if he wanted to play with us and he doesn't. He wont meet with anyone and have any medicals so I think the club would be foolish to take him so high but perhaps they know more than we do and so we have to trust that knowledge and go with it.

I truly cant wait.. only 3 more sleeps.

Put it on free to air!! Not everyone has Foxtel, and it is certainly worthy of putting on One HD.

I like the idea of counting up for the top 10.

I'm pretty sure it's on Fox Sports 2. I believe there is also a replay for those who cannot watch it, at 10pm that night.

It's on Fox Sports 3, 6:30pm

AFL national draft on TV and the web: Fox Sports 2 has it covered

Anticipation has reached seemingly unprecedented levels ahead of this year's AFL national draft, which takes place in Melbourne on Thursday evening.

With Gold Coast due to enter the league in 2011, along with the draft concessions that accompanies a new side to the AFL, the 2009 edition is seen as being the last uncompromised draft for several years.

Competition for the nation's finest young talent will be hot - and Fox Sports will be there to capture all the drama and emotion from pick No.1 all the way down to No.81.

In addition to an Australian-first live coverage of the event on Fox Sports 2 HD from 6.30pm (EDT), foxsports.com.au's AFL expert John Clark will be blogging the draft. Join John from 6pm and share your thoughts as he provides updates on each club's selections.

Ahh yes, the one who gave me a formal warning for 'giving away spoilers about the result of a game' when i simply suggested that a game was of high quality. Thank god i don't watch 'that tv station' during the off season.

Back on topic though, I'll be hunting for foxtel.

Ha. He's like that is he.. ;)

Buying a DVD recorder tomorrow to tape the whole telecast - I don't have IQ so this is the best I can do.

Could just tape it on the ol' VCR and run it to your PC as an MPEG file.

Just need a 's/video'(?) cable and run it from your vcr straight into your graphics card.

Google something like 'free vcr to pc converter' and the software will do it all for you. Good for backing up all sorts of worthy old footage.

EDIT: For as much as a decent DVD rec and accessories will cost you, (cheap ones stutter and f*** up on playback,) you could prob have IQ upgraded for the next 5 years :)

Hey Deb, can confirm 5:30pm telecast starting time on Fox Sports 2 for us qld viewers. Not sure if I'll be able to sleep tonight, might as well start making the popcorn now!

Wasn't going to tell you because of your Ball comments, but decided to do the right thing!!! ;)

Is anyone else über-excited about the draft? I can't wait!

Just sent my Carlton-supporting mate a SMS saying how I'll be using tissues for different reasons that he'll be using them for tomorrow night.

I guess that means I'm pretty (s)excited!

I haven't been able to get this draft out of my head for weeks. As soon as I get home I trawl the web looking for any new info, checking phantoms etc. I was all hyped for tomorrow night. Was going to a mates place for a few bevvies and the draft. At 5:30, a bit over an hour ago, just before I was about to leave work, my boss told me I have to do a nightshift tomorrow. No tv, no radio, no competer, just my phone. My first reaction was :o which soon became :( and eventually, after stewing for a bit , which is where I still am now. The furious one is furious!!!

The tough on baller won his second Keith 'Bluey' Truscott Trophy in a narrow battle with skipper Max Gawn and Alex Neal-Bullen and battled on manfully in the face of a number of injury niggles. A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players. DITCHA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I attended some of the training today. Richo spoke to me and said not to believe what is in the media, as we will good this year. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE
