hi guys another player that wants to leave

brent staker has asked west coast to trade him because of lack of opportunity

he is a melbourne country kid, john worsfold said we will trade him if a club shows they are keen n wants to talk

did show some promising signs

do you think we as a club should go after him or not; is 25

:)

Given that he's contracted for 2010, West Coast would have to give us Staker and pick 55 for our pick 98 for us to even entertain the thought. Even then, I wouldn't clog the list with a struggler who is neither a key position forward or useful crumber.

With all these players putting hands up...can some now still take the stand that Melbourne wont be involved in any trading. ?

All these players are going to casue knock ons and someone is bound to be offered or sought to/from Melbourne.

Staker ? he's a more than handy player but not a fit into our side..Ironically he might do well with the Swannies...but could he put on their jumper ??

If its' only Staker and Raines then we won't be involved in trading. Staker is just another Miller and Raines is a 1 year wonder with nothing going for him.

More than handy? He's rubbish. I could not be less enthused.

If Staker is the standard of whats around among the NQRs then MFC should keep its gun locked away in its holster.

no. we've got enough hacks that try and play ruck. get a decent one. but don't trade away picks for it. maybe a swap for daniel bell though. thinking on my feet here. yeahs thats fair. a dud for a dud.but only if he's on less than bell

Hold on..

Showed some good form late in year, and is a good type to have. Would take him for a 5th rounder!

Ben Mckinley is the eagle we have shown interest in though, as have 2 or 3 other VIC clubs, him id take for a 3rd rounder MAYBE 4th..

If he is a 5th rounder in a bottom ranked club then he must be worth having then.

Sarcasm becomes you.

If some get there way on here we will become the rubbish dump of the AFL.

Agree.

Comments like "worth a punt". "Good for depth" "Good type to have" make me cringe. For some, list management and trading has not evolved much from the blindfold and a pin with a tail on it.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
