Looks like it's just you and me Jack. Oh wait, I think I can see a few sitting under cover. Oh no, them are just seagulls.

Robbo mark.

SEN are saying it's mark of the year. Way to go out!

\And then Radar gets called a nerd by Harf. This is turning into another great day at the G against Freo!

Posted

We are all over them. I wouldn't go so far as to say Freo are a rabble here, I think we are just outplaying them. Midfielders and forwards looking genuinely dangerous.

Posted

And with the Miller goal, that's a 5.4 quarter. I wonder how many halves we've won this year with both quarters? How many is the most goals we've kicked in a quarter?

Targets everywhere, 8 goalkickers. Lesser lights playing well in weather.

I'd name our good performers, but it's the majority, so maybe we'll wait til the end of the game.

Davey probably the best among them, but Valenti, McLean, Jones, JMac, Beamer, Morton... all getting plenty of the pill which is news in itself.

We're going to win this, and win it well. Now the only danger will be if we win either of the last 2 rounds we're off the bottom on percentage.

11 free to 1 not even the umpires can stop us atm those dirty maggots lol.

After watching robbo take that mark just shows how much im going to miss him.

Also shane valenti i really like i really hope we keep him longer, with GC and WS we need to keep as many good youngsters.

Nice day to be sitting alone at the G watching a game. I know we're playing a rabble but our ball movement is seriously improving.

Davey is cutting them up and great to see some Robbo trademarks :)

That's all I could think about when he did it. Might have been easier for him to walk into the sunset, but typical Robbo, picks a moment to turn back the clock.

Jurrah may be exciting, but my goodness, he has a looooong way to go before he eclipses what Robbo has done for the club, and the fans. As does any new recruit.

Gawd bless 'im.

Don't usually comment mid game, but the umpiring is the worst ive seen it in a long time. Its actually spoiling the game for me. If stuart wenn is also umpire 22.. he wouldn't wanna walk past me in the street

Still, after a deplorable 1st half of the 1st quarter, we're genuinely showing some good game style.

Kudos: Davey, of course, Valenti and to a lesser extent PJ for his effort against Sandifag..

2nd half..Goal Jurrah.. go dees..............

Jurrah!!!!!!!!!

Goal of the year on SEN... Perhaps a bit overzealous.

Ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the Dees we'll come to know in the next 5 years. What a clinic. The score is backwards.

I realise there's no opposition out there, but the manner in which we've played is the pleasing part.

I think anyone who has been critical of Matthew Bate needs to have a look at this game.

He is a bona fide player.

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
