Sounds like from Day 1 he will slip into the best 22 of whoever drafts him and make an impact.

Hopefully it is us.

I knew when I was in the under-14s and all my mates were out going to parties and drinking, but I was in the Stingrays and all I wanted to do was really make it there, so I just said then, 'I'm not going to do that stuff'."

wow drinking and partying @ 13 they start young in the Dandenong area

anyway Scully sounds like he is just what we need @ melbourne all the talk is we need forwards but once Watts Comes on in 2-3 years we will be ok in that area with Bate , Maric, Wona, Jurrah, Miller, Petterd to support. THe midfield is what worries me most at the moment no speed or class and this guys has both

He won All-Australian honours at the national under-18 carnival last year as a bottom age player, and recently showed his first-class fitness, blitzing a 3km time trial in 9min 27sec.

To put that into context, Chris Judd broke a Carlton record running 3.2km in 10:30 in December.

is this faster than bail?

that means to beat chriss judd, he has over a minute to run a further 200m.

that is not bad at all

If we go the way we are, we may end up with one and two in the draft.

Yeah i grew up in Broady and u 14's is about right.

I agree with you 100% about our midfield. We are screaming out for a classy player who can run all day, win clearances etc.

Ive played against scully and his what we need, hes quick and has great acceleration and he just to contest to contest so quickly with or midfeild struggling for speed we should get him if given the chance.

Watched this kid as a junior, he played in the same league as my brother. He was nigh on unstoppable then and he's only gotten better. His skills were always brilliant, combined with the running he's added to his game over the past couple of years, he will be a star. We need to do whatever it takes to get this kid to the club. Not saying he's the answer to all our problems, but definately a few of them.

I've seen Scully a few times and he looks great - smooth and makes the right decisions. He'd be plug and play.

And without exageration, he'd already be in our best side. You'd be looking at a Rich/Palmer scenario.

Cool He sounds like another Chris Judd type. Great, these are the players we need before Demetrio's Psycho love child GC17 gets to rape & pillage the Draft.

We are the last club to prosper from victoria for the next 10 years. Maybe i can bare the humiliation of this Cold & Bitter year after all.

I still want to win a few games this year, we must to keep the kids & sponsors interested. A fine balancing act.

stats for key forwards, i dont mind taking scully first as long as we have pick two aswell, it was only 4-5 years ago Neitz was getting doubled teamed. Blease and Strauss should help our midfield out when playing

those in the know say hes a great player but how many inside players do you need,

I know it's easy because you're a Melbourne supporter but don't always equate 'inside' with being slow.

We don't have an elite midfielder and we desperately need a few. Scully would be right at the top of our wishlist.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
