Let's say St. Kilda fished around for offers for Dal Santo during trade week this year (totally possible imho). Would you want him at the MFC and who would you trade for him?

Daniel Bell, Michael Newton and 25+ draft pick for Dal Santo? Think they would take that?

Maybe Green and filler for Dal Santo?

I really doubt St. Kilda are going to accept two NQR's and a middle of the road draft pick for one of their best players, even if he is soft as butter.

Forget about using Bell and Newton for any trades other than those pointless hack-for-hack trades that go on sometimes. They're not going to be part of any significant trade.

Has Talent but Poor work ethic

Just like some of our current list

why add to a poor list with what we already have

Would rather keep Green. If we are getting smashed, at least Greeny is in the mix trying to get something done.

Dal is a supreme talent, agree he is very TJ like. Sadly, TJ type players tend to work well in a team full of hard ball winners. We are not one of those sides. He will most likely stay with the Saints.

No to Dal Santo. Doesn't fit in with rebuilding plans.

For a start - how old is he? 26?? I'm not sure... but he hardly fits the mould of 'building a club from the ground up with young players' as we are said to be doing.

Why entertain trades for yesterday's up & coming players? We want to develop the next crop, not be a retirement village for players that wear out their welcome elsewhere

Based on last nights performance against Hathorn - NO WAY IN HELL!!!

Soft as TJ and Yze. Same problem arose as earlier in the year when he got dropped. Too one dimensional, has great skills but Bateman, Sewell and Osborne from Hawthorn were all worth more when the heat is on.

Nope - draft the young kids and look for hard nuts who can kick properly !!

So basically the Hawks recruiting policy then?

Darn right, Dal Santo will be 30 by the time Melbourne start playing finals again. Trading for anyone over 23 and over is going to cost a spot (or two) and then take a spot on the Melbourne list.

Absolutely, They have had a Totaol Clean out since 2004 and backed themselves all the way. The Club is Loaded with Cash and assetts. Next week they are not just in the GF, they are a serious Challenger. I am Tipping a Few sore Geelong Bodies next week. This new team plays very Similiar to the 80's. The MFC should look at the Hawthorn Blue Print very Closely over summer.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
