Paul Johnson came up with a Goal of the Year nomination.

At least one good thing came out of tonight.

Go Dees!

Top goal! Especially for such a big unit. He made it look pretty easy and played it pretty cool with his celebrations. I would have done a lap.

It was a great goal, but hardly worth celebrating on a night like tonight. Although, there were so few of them perhaps it was worth getting excited about.

The great thing about that goal was the fact that regardless of how special it was, Paul Johnson didn't do a Jeff Farmer and blow his load over it. That just shows that our team realizes that individual brilliance isn't important. I was happier that High Tower didn't celebrate than I was that he kicked it at all.

Should of heard the roar in the members and around the ground when we got our first score. A rushed behind.

Yeah, we were absolutely going off. For a long time, it looked like we could go the entire game without scoring.

James Frawley showed something that I've never seen from him before.. run. Thought he was impressive

I'd have said run from James Frawley is one of the few consistent things we have seen from him

I think stef martin and adam maric were our only positives. whelan and mcdonald showed why people on here are stupid and that they did in fact deserve another contract.

Bate also showed that he was his fumbly self

Jones tried to do too much like always

Morton kicking into the man on the mark was typical..i could see it coming from a mile away.

and

Dunn gave away pointless and idiotic free kicks

game to forget

There were a couple of positives, but the biggest one in my mind is that it wasn't round 22, and we at least have a few weeks to lead us into the summer with something to look forward to. Next Saturday cannot come quick enough IMO

Can someone YouTube PJ's goal for those of us who had to go home and three-quarter time to die a slow and painful death (which may or may not have been caused by the performance of the MFC)?

That's what you get for leaving early :P

Relative to everyone else, I thought Frawley looked alright in his first senior game in a while.

That was embarassing. I'd say much of the roar was from Cats supporters.

It was a great goal from PJ and is one of the better goals for the season, but unfortunately for him he probably won't even win Goal of the Week. Brent Harvey yesterday kicked the goal of the year at Telstra Dome.

Unfortunately in the Members it was alot of the older folk Melbourne supporters. Their roar included laughter and drew laughter from the Cats supporters. It was eerie.

You are all clutching at straws. It was awful. It has taken me this long to even start to get over it. And it wasn't really our fault. Except for sending our young talent out to face Geelong without any forward targets.

Geelong are awesome; big, strong, skills, confidence. All the things we have got to build into young bodies.

Forget the Olympics and drugs, my theory is the Cats are into gene doping in a big way. They're making genetically modified footballers down at the Cattery. It fits the evidence anyway!

And what a little whinger Ablett is.

That's all I can say, it's still hurting...

Gene doping and GM athletes

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns.
