  1. Today
  2. Maybe Geelong could make him a short term Hawkins replacement ? Fits the age profile.
  3. Kev, I would be happy to discuss this further via PM/DM etc, but I actually can't see how to instigate that. Have replied to them previously but not started one. (Have worked it out now)
  4. Me too. It was driven by the fact that the Olympic Torch went around the MCG that day.
  5. You are right, I was suggesting those who didn't engage in a positive way yesterday and protested to the mods, could ring the AFL and express it is not an issue they are interested in. I am just alright, feel disappointed that some men don't seem to take the domestic aggression issues as something they can make constructive changes too. I've been trying to talk to friends today and none of them wanted to talk about the issues. Sat at a table of 10 wise men, no input, heads down don't ask me, possibly a sense of guilt, or in the too hard basket. At least we had a generally successful go yesterday, till the mods intervened. Women really need allies at this junction.
  6. No it we've had much higher crowds... Round 21 2000 = 76,059 ( I was there) Round 8 1963 = 83,518
  7. Eddie looked after other clubs when it gained Collingwood more. "Giving" us Queens Bday ensured that Collingwood got another prime time, MCG game as an away game every year, getting them extra MCG games. He also got to publically talk about all the things he did for other clubs, making them out as good deeds or sacrifices. Meanwhile they got everything they wanted in terms of draw exposure etc. Don't think he did it for anyone other than Collingwood. Good negotiators find win win solutions not compromise or win lose situations. Meaning he got more than he would have otherwise.
  8. i may have shed a little tear watching that i was sure that the kid wasn't going to still be with us fabulous he is
  9. I love it and the story behind it. The sponsor on the back sucks, but otherwise it is fantastic.
  10. Ok, I watched the video and I love the jumper design so much now. Great story.
  11. Kev, please don't paint everyone with the same brush. This is a positive thing and hope you are doing well.
  12. A bloke I coach with who is a Geelong supporter was bragging today about how they'd smash us this weekend and said Cameron is playing a decoy role. And I said Cameron and Hawkins are playing decoy roles? Wowee. What a forwardline. The smalls and mid sized forwards are the ones that tend to trouble us. Let's see how we go. I'm looking forward to when I see him next week after a Melbourne win.
  13. Any of you brave people going to write to AFL house and complain that a urgent social issue is derailing your enjoyment of the footy. "The minute's silence will take place before all nine AFL games around the country, with players, coaches and umpires to form a circle on the field, the AFL has confirmed." You call me out for derailing the thread, I say somethings are bigger than footy. To those that perpetrate violence and cohersion towards your loved ones, behind the closed doors. Please, please GET HELP as soon as possible, time to reach out.
  14. Maybe my recollection is hazy but Cameron moves high up the ground to try and drag lever up the ground and disrupt or defensive structure. He's only kicked 3g twice against us. Hardly bothered us at all really. Not to dismiss him but the more important factor is not allowing the Cats to move the ball with speed into their i50
  15. It was totally different, us and the hawks had much larger supporter bases then either Fitzroy or north, north just don't have the support to even get 50k, just have a look north are still small, and Fitzroy are gone, and both North and Fitzroy actually wanted to merge
  16. Moved to SA to be closer to family since his wife is ill. He won’t move to Victoria and fair enough.
  17. I was at the B & F as well and loved everything about his speech. He definitely wears his heart on his sleeve and bleeds red and blue. My favourite player. ❤️💙
  18. If he was 5 years younger we would have the benefit of 20/20 and know that he is no better than Schache
  19. I love the Suns recruiting. They picked up Graham, Rogers, Walter and Read. Inspired choices. wait , sorry, what they are gift wrapped by the AFL as part of Academy priorities picks for the Lions, Swans, Giants and Suns equalization policy to pickup quality development youngsters without any other clubs having access.
  20. The focus for us should be playing our game and getting our midfield running well. obviously look after Cameron etc but if we get our guns rolling, we make the Cats react to us.
