Shaun Smith not happy with Joel's medical treatment.
Agree with this. I can understand Shaun venting on social media if he'd tried discussing this with the club and git nowhere but if he's done this without any dialogue with the club then it's poor form. Sounds like a dad who's frustrated that his son is out injured.

Set shot goalkicking
I though Trac played very well on Saturday and has been building nicely over the past few rounds but his set shot goal kicking is letting him down. I reckon he needs to practice kicking set shots while under water.

Crowd incident - Hawks Dees
Agree with you on all but the last point. Knocking a beer out of someones hand at the footy should get you banned for at least a few matches. This said if the person has a mental disability and was being abused which led to their response then I think this would be mitigating factor in determining whether to ban the player. The MFC support should be banned, charged with assault, attend counselling and spend time with victims who's lives are permanently affected by being punched on the head. I don't support life bans for people who make poor choices if they cop their whack and learn from them.

Injury List - Season 2019
Will be interesting to see who makes way as key players come back from injury, I'm thinking: - Kielty for Preuss - Oscar Mac for May - Lewis for Lever - Fritch for J Smith - Lochart for Viney - Stretch for Hannan - ANB for AVB Kielty might get another run v GC this week with Preuss in the VFL. Lewis could also stay in to free up Salem into the midfield/wing, but reckon he will make way for Lever unless Fritch makes way.

Crowd incident - Hawks Dees
If the Hawks fan did knock the beer out of the MFC fans hand then I agree they both should be banned. Punching someone for knocking a beer out of your hand is not on and should be charged with assault.

Crowd incident - Hawks Dees
That looks pretty ordinary by the MFC supporter. From the audio it appears he's going a disables person.

Month without whingeing on DL
As long as it's related to the game played and not a whinge about how Collingwood would not accept what we accept and hence why we are bottom dwellers.

Month without whingeing on DL
I'd like to propose a month of no whingeing on demonland where our members can analyse and critique our performances and that of our players but are not allowed to: 1. Draw a link between how we perform to the last time we won a flag. 2. Play the victim when we lose and complain about how the club gives nothing back. The club owes you nothing. 3. Bemoan the lack of communication from the club. 4. Mention how Collingwood were happy to see the back of Gary Pert. 5. Mention how our Coaching department didn't review the Preliminary Final loss to West Coast. <INSERT DEMONLAND WHINGE HERE> I'm not saying we can't be critical of performance but rather do so in a constructive manner. In short, lets be more like Amber Whalan and support our club unconditionally without the veil of negativity as Paul Roos described it. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/2019-05-02/amber-whalen-pink-lady-ambassador-2019&ved=2ahUKEwjZvIzziP_hAhVXVH0KHSRPDb0QwqsBMAF6BAgFEAU&usg=AOvVaw00-SPaJTThpwtEbCd6hpvg Dees!

PREGAME: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
The opposition would have put alot of work into home to negate Tim Smith to reduce his impact. The late inclusion of Keilty keeps them guessing. Goodwin is a tactical genius.

The preseason we didn't have
The good news is that we should avoid a delayed start to preseason this year as players will be on holiday in the first week of September - Dees!

Is Brashaw the same guy who polled third in last years Brownlow despite not playing AFL in the first couple of rounds?

The healthy ego of Paul Roos and our current plight.
Re outside speed I don't think Roos values it as highly as playing accountable two way footy. The reason we are getting smashed on the outside is work rate, ability to apply pressure to cause opposition to turn the ball over, and not turning the ball over through poor decision making and skill execution. To often we are too loose and fail to apply enough pressure on the opposition, which is even worse when we turn the ball over. Re Howe, Roos praised that Howe played the best low posession half he's ever seen v Geelong. For whatever reason Howe wanted to play for Collingwood and we ended up with Ben Kennedy which worked out poorly. Re Dunn, I really liked him as a player but for whatever reason fell out of favour. We chose to instead play Oscar and Frost and brought in stop gaps like Georgiou. Lever should be a 10 year player and elite intercept defender with strong leadership credentials, and while it will take a few more years to determine if the trade works out, is the sort of player who helps build the right culture. Re Tyson and Salem v Kelly, Tyson was important in turning our team from a rabble to a team that could beat sides. I think he hasn't been the same since he hurt his knee and also our inside mids are elite at winning the ball. Salem would probably be our best player so far this year and is playing at an elite level. We do need to bring in a Josh Kelly or similar player to complement our existing midfield. I was sad to see Kent go but understand that we weren't prepared to match St Kilda's offer given his inability to string games together. In summary I don't think our speed is a big problem and definitely not the reason we are losing. We are simply not playing the way we should and need to keep chipping away and hopefully win our share of games before getting into form and smashine the opposition. With how we are playing it's highly unlikely we will challenge this year.
