  1. You are a grinch and I hope you find joy in something
  2. I went from anxious, to furious, despondend and overjoyed all in under 2 minutes. Good win!
  3. We should just pepper torps towards the goal from outside 50 and rely on repeat entry points
  4. I can see both Lockhart and Hore holding their spot in our best 22 even when guys like Lever, May, Hannan, AvB come back in.
  5. I missed the first quarter but what I saw he would have been in our best few players. His decisiong making and ability to kick to the right spots stood out in such a scrappy match.
  6. Buses are for people that either dont have a license of can't afford to drive themselves or don't have limo service - pass
  7. This would be the logical choice. The troublesome residents in East Melbourne can get on board or GAGF. We might need to send in some hevaies to fix them up.
  8. I still find it facinating that the mental weight of the captiancy actually resulted in physical stress on Trenner's foot. Quite remarkable really.
  9. Casey is part of a growth corridor which is home to our VFL team and where we run clinics to build our supporter base and membership through young families in the area. It works for this purpose. We shouldn't consider a permanent training base that is not within an easy walk of the 'G'.
  10. While this is true the AHPRA and RACS would not care in the slightest whether Joel Smith should have been on the field or not, so such registration is not really relevant to such cases. Dave Mission's job would be a much more stressful and difficult job than that of the medicos as he is constantly making risk based judgements that are rarely clear cut.
  11. Jako (if that is your real name), Dave Misson as Manager Elite Performance is accountable for the fitness and conditioning of our team. The Doctors, Physios, Fitness staff and Specialists outside the club are experts in their field but they are either general (club doctors) or narrow (physios, specialists) in their focus. Dave's role is to make risk based decisions which take into account the advice he is given by experts with the fitness, conditioning and fielding a team which can play the way Simon Goodwin wants to play to bring success. While Doctors may have high insurance cover they are not trained or qualified to make these decisions. Interestingly Bruce Reid with the EFC during the doping program came out unscaved despite being the club doctor and probably the best place person to advise on and ensure that harmful substances were not injected into players. When it comes to long term health, e.g. concussion, mental health, doping programs, I believe club doctors should have responsibility and report to the board. For injury management and conditioning the Elite Performance coach is the person.
  12. His track record was keeping Sydney fit for two GF, of which they won one, and playing finals consistently and then taking St Kilda to two GF's a lnd consistent finals. Shocking track record.
  13. Responsibilty also rests with the player to explain their symptoms and it is possible they did not do this.
  14. The Physicians and Physiotherapists aren't responsible for performance and while they have technical expertise and provide advice are not qualified to assess the risks associated with determining the recovery, conditioning and fitness of players.
  15. Agree with this. I can understand Shaun venting on social media if he'd tried discussing this with the club and git nowhere but if he's done this without any dialogue with the club then it's poor form. Sounds like a dad who's frustrated that his son is out injured.
  16. I hope May is not 34 years old and from Baxter
  17. McCartney "You're a c#$t" Goodwin "Go f$&k yourself, old wizard"
  18. I though Trac played very well on Saturday and has been building nicely over the past few rounds but his set shot goal kicking is letting him down. I reckon he needs to practice kicking set shots while under water.
  19. Agree with you on all but the last point. Knocking a beer out of someones hand at the footy should get you banned for at least a few matches. This said if the person has a mental disability and was being abused which led to their response then I think this would be mitigating factor in determining whether to ban the player. The MFC support should be banned, charged with assault, attend counselling and spend time with victims who's lives are permanently affected by being punched on the head. I don't support life bans for people who make poor choices if they cop their whack and learn from them.
  20. Will be interesting to see who makes way as key players come back from injury, I'm thinking: - Kielty for Preuss - Oscar Mac for May - Lewis for Lever - Fritch for J Smith - Lochart for Viney - Stretch for Hannan - ANB for AVB Kielty might get another run v GC this week with Preuss in the VFL. Lewis could also stay in to free up Salem into the midfield/wing, but reckon he will make way for Lever unless Fritch makes way.
  21. If the Hawks fan did knock the beer out of the MFC fans hand then I agree they both should be banned. Punching someone for knocking a beer out of your hand is not on and should be charged with assault.
  22. That looks pretty ordinary by the MFC supporter. From the audio it appears he's going a disables person.
