  1. If it weren't for Fritch pkaying the sweeper role we would have lost by alot more.
  2. Weed presented well too.
  3. I'm concerned that his knees may buckle under the weight of captiancy.
  4. Supercoach stats aren't very meaningful in explaining whether a forward is playing well. Petracca's pressure is good, he wins the ball in tight and uses the ball well. The onlys thing letting him down has been our overall ability to move the ball quickly in the first 8-9 rounds, which is getting much better, and his finishing which I think will click today. Dees!
  5. Every rose has it's thorns
  6. I reckon a massive game looms for Petracca. Has been good for the last 6 weeks and if it were not for some poor finishing would have some big hauls. I can see him kicking 4-5 goals with some dominant stints on ball. He will relish the big crowd at the G.
  7. You don't achieve what Adam Goodes has in sport and in life by being a 'professional victim'. It takes courage and conviction to deliver the speech that he did, and the moment he gave it marked his exit out of the AFL while it should have been a step forward in reconciling our nations abhorrent treatment of our indigenous people.
  8. I'm furios and will pen a letter to the club first thing Tuesday seeking a full enquiry to get to the bottom of this outrageous display of treason. That is once I have calmed down enough to regather my thoughts.
  9. Well sone Sam! I hope this helps remind our supporters how tough the scrutiny of elite sport and social media can be and that we become better at supporting our players and coaches. Dees!
  10. It was a real team effort to convert so poorly for a half of footy
  11. This stood out to me too and I reckon he was a bit emotional re Neale Daniher question at the start but settled after a bit.
  12. Definitely agree, Neale's speeches are life lessons to a group of young adults who happen to play elite level football. He does the same with the Collingwood players. Absolute legend!
  13. The results are heavily skewed based on the first 3 rounds where the opposition practically walked in and kicked goals from the goal square. Its more a reflection of how easy we have been to score against early than anything the opposition were doing to us.
  14. Our injuries to best 22 players is at least 30% higher in terms of games missed than any other side, not to mention most of our midfield which have played every game started slow as the result of uninterrupted preseasons. The past two weeks we have been the dominant team against top sides despite our injuries and while we lost we are playing in a way that makes us a huge chance against anyone. While our depth is being tested we are holding together well after a very poor start in the first 5-7 rounds. What will help us from here is some continuity amoung our 22 and getting some of our key defenders back.
  15. I'd rather we field our best side and win most games in the second half of the season and finish in 9th place with our best team getting used to playing together than not have this and recieve a top 3 draft pick.
  16. Re Gary Pert not organising the injuries, do you know this for a fact because before he came we had few injuries and then he turns up, an low and behold we are struck down with injuries. Coincidence, I think not ?
  17. Shake it off, shake it off...
  18. Great effort to the boys, they tried their hearts out. Not much more you can ask than that. Players gonna hate, hate, hate, hate...
  19. Has Pert's grubby fingers on it too
  20. Not as silly as it sounds
  21. 6-6-6 has resulted in some great finishes to close games that would otherwise become a slog fest. I think that sides have become perhaps overly cautious to prevent opposition to score heavily off centre bounces.
  22. These press conferences are all talk, I'm furious.
  23. I though he was ok in a side that was generally horrible.
