  1. A well-presented argument overall. I reckon the highlighted GWS group you've mentioned above is ahead of our group but they're also probably slightly more experienced so hopefully in a year or two they go past them. I excitedly agree with all the other points you've made here.
  2. Love what the club is doing but GWS probably have us covered on that one.
  3. Worst commentator ever. Just makes it up as he goes.
  4. I like Jobe Watson. Don't think there's too much wrong with the way his return is being presented. Those players copped a fair wack for doing what they were told by people they trusted. They could've done their own homework and avoided the situation and they've paid a fair, if not harsh price for it.
  5. Just watching his game on the weekend, he looks quite uncoordinated.
  6. I feel like Spencer is the perfect depth ruckman. Not horrible, gives his all and has played some good AFL games but unlikely to become disgruntled and seek opportunity elsewhere. Maybe we want another raw prospect as insurance but I don't see the need to chase a number 2 ruck - we already have him.
  7. I don't think ANB has shown any promise at AFL level. He got on the end of a few at Geelong last year but generally struggles to get involved. Needs to find an elite attribute to make the leap in much the same way Sam Mitchell worked on his hands in close to make up for his lack of pace.
  8. Richmond has one of the best first 10 players in the comp but they fall of a cliff after that. The club has built their list so poorly over the years and I think the club realises that Hardwick hasn't had the support he has needed in terms of recruiting and trading. Their attempt at stability through this situation is actually quite admirable. Without the AFL intervention we recieved, we'd have hired and fired 5-6 coaches in that period!
  9. John is my cousin. Would love to see him in Demons colours!
  10. Agree totally and for the most part our intensity and effort has been great. We generally lose games because of skill and execution. Yesterday, we lost because of our poor effort.
  11. I disagree with the sentiment here. Murphy and Gibbs have been good players and Kreuzer has been good when he has played.
  12. 6 Jetta 5 Gawn 4 T Mac 3 Vince 2 Hunt 1 O Mac Apart from Jetta, I thought there were no standout performances. Most just played their roles.
  13. He hit Oliver in the chest. I think Cyril could have gone the ball instead but nothing in the rules stopping that kind of bump.
  14. Tom McDonald is a gun and played well today. I know this will annoy those who seem to think us supporters have some sort of superpower and should not accept anything less than a win but today was a very good four quarter effort. Both teams made mistakes but you can't question the effort of this young team today.
  15. He's been a useful player for a long time and has always been heading in the right direction. He's a confidence player who will have his down patches but he's simply too skilled not to make it.
  16. Outs: Petracca, M.Jones and Grimes Jones and Grimes' disposal was so poor against Fremantle in an otherwise fairly efficient display by the team. I could live with giving Grimes another shot because he defends and tackles like his life depends on it but Matty Jones has had a couple of weeks dishing up this stuff. Having said that, I don't think these changes are likely - just venting. Would like to see Wagner come back in.
  17. I noticed Shane Warne spruiking the Saints chances of playing finals this year so had a look at their draw. They have Gold Coast, Essendon, Melbourne, Western Bulldogs, North, Carlton, Sydney, Richmond, and Brisbane. Given they're on 6 wins, I'd say they're a good chance to win 12, a fair chance of 13 and a sneaky shot at 14.
  18. When we lose everyone is useless. When we win, everyone is brilliant. Yet, I still continue to open this thread after each game.
  19. I reckon Grimes is a definite in. Paced him in the wet for Casey last week so he'd be fresh for the trip to Sydney.
  20. Kent is frustrating - so much potential, exciting when he gets it and runs but makes a load of mistakes. Hopefully he irons them out.
