  1. Like you, OD I've followed the dees for a long time. I also remeber the two purple patches since 64 - two grand finals. We had the shite kicked out of us in both. Hardly something to hand one's hat on.
  2. "needs to be punished" . Is dropping him enough? Perhaps some time in the stocks? Or, perhaps you could give him a jolly good flogging RR?
  3. Well whoever you are bringing in, make sure you get their money and sign them up before you allow them to read Demonland.
  4. You're fighting the good fight stuie but I don't think you'll ever win. I f Watts racks up 40 possies next week and kicks 6 from the backline, it will be a case of- he was left loose, his opponent was injured, favourable umpiring, easy possessions, lucky. You get the drift. Christ who would want to be a first draft pick at Melbourne.
  5. Watching Carlton get stitched up last was one of my most enjoyable footy highlights for years. Even my dog was confused - I'm sure he couldn't work out what all the yelling was about when Melbourne wasn't involved.
  6. For Melbourne supporters, I'd suggest that this season has been about 18 weeks too long!
  7. I'm not sure that that is the case. Let's wait and see.
  8. Correct! But my point is we should move heaven and earth to to keep him on the park.
  9. Christ what's happening? Extending the welcome mat to septic tanks? Before you know it we'll be opening our arms to reformed filth supporters or, God help us Kiwis!
  10. I don't care if it's a one way street. Let's stick with this guy. The fact is we are short of geniuses.
  11. If Jurrah's prepared to have a go and stick with the club through a pre season then we must stick with him. In fact, more than stick with him we must encourage and support him to continue with his career. The guy is a genius. We have only seen flashes of his potential. PLease, please do anything needed to keep him
  12. There really is a serious amount of shite posted on this site. The sooner Melb. starts winning games and we can talk positive footy stuff the better.
  13. That is very clever stuie. Gave me a great laugh to start the day.
  14. I see it the other way. Think back to all the times over the last few years when we have taken the ball into the forward 50 but lacked the firepower to make the most of it. A fit Clarke and another big body for the opposition to worry about and we're in the game!
  15. Interesting isn't it? MFC is frequently slated for poor development of players yet Sellar, who was on the scrapheap, has developed into a servicable part of the list. Good luck to hikmj!
  16. We reselect Brad Miller (thus saving us millions on Cloke) . Clarke is moved out to CHF and Miller kicks 100 - including 7 in the GF. I won't spoil the surprise by telling you who wins.
  17. I wouldn't think that was appropriate on this forum!
  18. Don't worry OD I often completely forget also. Especially as the empty wine bottle count rises.
  19. I can add two - The emergence of Tom Mc The further development of Jack Watts
  20. A tough question Jnr. I went to Darwin feeling confident and we barely fired a shot. Plus, as noted above, our skills remain poor. Then I came away from the St. Kilda game thinking that we had gained some structure and purpose. I would like to have been able to answer your question if we had kept Clarke and Jurrah on the paddock. At times we showed improvement but lacked the firepower to back it up. How's that for procrastination?
  21. I can barely bring myself to read the sin but there is one golden rule. Disregard anything that Mark Robinson (the illiterate uninformed DH) has had a hand in.
  22. Pure speculation - like so many other posts. I know the footy is all over (for us) but jeez!
