It would be best if you completely wipe out that day or the memory banks. Fortunately I had had a copious amount of alcomohol by the time that the cheap shot happened and really can't remember much if any of the day! Although I did make to Schwarta's pub the next day for the wake and I remember 2 things well - Neale Daniher categorically ruled out every stepping foot in Windy Hill again and also he was the only bloke to get stung with having to buy a round when the bar tab temporarily ran out! Big weekend it was!

I'm fairly certain anyone is/was able to sign up NSW scholarship kids as part of growing the game in NSW. Collingwood grabbed their next ruck Witts that way. Same as taking overseas guys - we have a New Zealand lad this year. Unfortunately for us our resources, recruiting and development haven't warranted one up until now. There will probably be more for us now with Roos on board (and ???? Stone as well)

Awkward, ungainly, somewhat "unco". I know I drew a big fat line through his name in 2 seconds of seeing him. IIRC he had trouble with chronic fatigue when we drafted him, i read somewhere that the club discovered he had insulin dependent diabetes which would go a long way to rectifying his chronic fatigue issues, allowing him to train as an AFL player needs to, which I think has lead to his rapid improvements this year - still awkward and gangly but gee isn't he effective at present, takes a strong grab, leads well and can crumb well for a 200cm bohemoth. Can see now why he got AA at under 18's, has something to offer and now with his health problems seemingly improving might just reach another level or 2 when he fully fills out the massive frame. Happy to be proved wrong (so far!) on Fritzel

Top of the things that sh!t me to tears - incidents like this that don't get picked up on match day by umpires, yet warrant a suspension. The goal that happened as a direct result of this to Gold Coast stands, then other incidents ( not that any happened this week ) get a report, a 50m penalty (and generally result in a goal) and then get thrown out as the umpires over reacted to nothing incidents. Possibly could have cost us the win on Saturday - certainly would have stopped gold coasts momentum,by adjudicating the brown incident at the time of the game. I don't get why umpires just get that so wrong

What actually irks me is that no-one at our footy club seems to have the balls to be a villain anymore. Seriously, i may belong in a different era (although not much - retired from footy 4 hears ago aged 35), but why doesn't anyone want to cop the 4 week ban for knocking the little pr1ck into tomorrow. Just a good old fashioned shirt front would do it. No need for Barry Hall type king hits. if he left Hawthorn or Essendon in the same manner he'd be lucky to leave any return game with intact ribs. Our club is soft at present, where are the hard bodied, hard at it types that win footy games in the trenches - reckon our recruiting strategy would have been a lot different if I was involved

Both Wilsons snr and junior are really good people - jnr was captain at Old Camberwell when I was there in the 90's needless to say Reece was our major sponsor and the club was well looked after! Wasn't aware that dad was a mad MFC supporter - get him and Reece on board!

Perhaps Ratten wasn't that bad of a coach, certainly the mighty MM hasn't squeezed anything else out of the players. Reckon I'd look in his direction should Roos or Craig not have the job sown up. Not sold on either Rocket or Chocco,
