  1. how good was that grab from grimes? back with the flight of the ball into a pack of 3 tot 4 in the back hotspot and NEVER took his eyes off the pill. great grab
  2. half time down by just 8 points. a couple of skill errors and turnovers the only reason we're behind
  3. addam maric and jack grimes...... wow have they 4 games or 204?????? maric is seriously killing baker!! grimes just oozes class LOVE BOTH OF THEM (in the manly non-sexual kind of way )

  5. As a complete aside (and apologies for it) but couldn't help myself while we're on injury lists - Shoab Aktar reported to beon the Pakistani injury list and subsequently MIA for a GENITAL INFECTION surely they could have come up with some kind of white lie
  6. YET NO AARON DAVEY!!!!!!!!!! WTF Currently, who is the best indigenous footballer in the AFL? Adam Goodes Andrew McLeod Cyril Rioli Lance Franklin Shaun Burgoyne David Wirrpanda Daniel Motlop OTHER Surely his career best form at the moment warrants a selection option for this poll on the realfooty website..... very disappointed by this - especially coming from the Age - a Melbourne FC sponsor no less
  7. bombers........ still want revenge for 2000 - GRRRRRR. (B Moloney and Colin Sylvia to break 2 of their up and comers in half as well...... maybe hurley and ryder [ie green/simmonds] that sounds fair)
  8. i'm thinking the answer isn't how to beat geelong but rather how to extract 2 points.... 1. issue an act of terrorism warning on al jezzera. Get MCG evacuated and announce it a draw... (might end up in prison but atleast we don't lose too badly) or 2. create an act of god... earthquake, tornado, cyclone or other to hit on sunday and hence abandon game and we get 2 points. Or...... Bugger it thats all i've got can someone else come up with a sensible plan to get the game postponed until 2012
  9. i can honestly say that yes it is drawn......... or atleast it used to be i won it about 20 odd years ago. unfortunately cannot for the life of me remember what it was that i won!!!
  10. i know the CEO of that organisation got 'boned' and ended up back in Townsville...... no idea otherwise
  11. Beamer took the kids away during the mid season break last year. They went down to warnambool for a bit of boxing training under the guidance of himself and his old boxing coach, from what i can recall they all loved it, he is really looked up to by the kids
  12. Hey guys - i'm new here :-) first post, it might as well be about this.. I'm a long time supporter of the Dee's (albeit from afar these days) - My earliest memories revolve around this football club, running around th 'G till long after dark kicking goals, being in the rooms before and after games wearing one Robbie Flower's number 2 on back. You felt a part of the club, that you belonged My biggest disappointment has been over the past few years has been that the AFL and ALL the clubs have become corporatised.... the supporters have been 'disestablishmentised' - players are off limits, you can't get on the ground for a kick. It seems that the bigger the AFL gets, the further away the cubs have been from the supporters. i feel the previous administrations of this club are somewhat to blame. I was fortunate enough to fly back to melbourne this year for the queens B'day clash and was amazed by what i saw: Firstly, we were greeted at the ground by hordes of demon fans brandishing red and blue flags making it to the 'G from Jimmies walk from federation square. I am lucky enough to have some connections and dined at the cotorie function - once again i was gobsmacked - connolls spoke with a deep passion for this footy club, bailey dropped in for a quick chat as it was going to be a special day. Ronald Dale Barassi was on hand as was the great Noel McMahon and together they presented one retiring David Neitz with a replica of the original coterie groups pledge to look after Ron following Barassi Srs death. I can tell you with a doubt there was not a dry eye in the room. The club has an amazing history, but seems to have skipped a generation of supporters - the kids out there haven't been aware of our history, of our passion. All of a sudden with spruiking skills of connolls and schwabby, the passion of Jimmy and now the club is trying to harness a community spirit out at casey along with some future guns to put on show next season, i have some genuine hope for the future - players wanting to die for the jumper, to regain the 'us versus them' mentality, to really hurt after losing a winnable game, for supporters (new and old) to get behind our team This administration seems to finally be getting it RIGHT. I'm senseing something happening about this football club. Football people running a football club just seems right
