  1. Logged in on the iPad looks like igizmo's are working
  2. Yeah I wouldn't be too concerned there Wrecker. I was only doing things as a means to procrastination! And even then achieved a grand total of SFA. :-)
  3. MM I am going to attempt using the iPad first - just cos I can't stand the laptop, then if it fails jump on the lappy. It may have been addressed this year to work better - who knows. I just hope they the get phone app working again for the actual competition
  4. Yep just lost a hour of productivity working on pre draft selections...... Paper work building up big time. Just remember guys - in years gone by the draft needed to be done on a real computer not an iPad/iPhone due to flash or some other silly computer thing thing doesn't work with igizmo's
  5. Cannot stop laughing at this. Please use this as your signature Akum - I want to relive this for the rest of the year
  6. Reckon some take aways with a bottle (or 2 - depending on the scores!) of red will do me just fine tonight while on the couch.
  7. I heard Gary Ablett, Dane swan, Pendles and any other Keeper I don't have wee also going in for preseason surgery as well......,
  8. Big call there snomeD - reckon young Viney is going to rip it up this year
  9. Honestly can't remember but was seriously KOTD by it
  10. Sorry Jarka - thought mine were set when I first rejoined - will do it now Done - Whitfield Jaegerbomb J Riewoldt and Rockliff
  11. Having my first born turn up on Valentines day last year hopefully means I will never have to worry about valentines day crap again :-) just organise a little man birthday party every year - so much better - bring on the footy
  12. The Jako's have logged in and are ready to roll Keepers at this stage - Rockliff and Jack Riewoldt (yep throwing CyrilRioli out to the wolves for the first time in u footy history) young uns' - Jaeger bomb and Whitfield
  13. Strewth - imagine walking in on those 2 doing the wild monkey dance. Scarred for life at just the thought
  14. Haven't stopped by the thread since October. In that time I have had a mo' in Movember and then grew a beard over a 5 week holiday over Chrissy - much been going on here? Just asking cos I really couldn't be arsed reading through 4 months of no T$ no B$
  15. Good footballer - undoubtedly Poster boy for racial equality - yes Australian of the year - not by the length of the straight As for the last comment I feel that way most years, we have amazing people doing amazing work in the chosen fields of research, community health and well being, world leaders in arts and engineering. inspiring people doing inspiring things yet we award a footballer who like most footballers has a massive salary but more importantly a massive media profile based on racial awareness, followed up by a disabled athlete as the young Australian of the year. Far from inspired choices for my liking. I'd go as far as saying the "older Australian of the year" - Fred Chaney has done much much more for the plight of indigenous Australians than Goodesy and would be a better choice, but he doesn't have the profile wanted.
  16. I reckon if you want a slight left of field selection a young Canberra local by the name of Tom Faul should come to mind. Missed most of his junior under 18 year with a nasty ankle - but is a freak athlete. Keep your eyes out for him this year with NSW/ACT. Pretty sure GWS have been keeping him well and truly under wraps
  17. Big thanks to Toad33 - my little man Oliver will look resplendent while watching the footy with daddy next year
  18. I would like to see us win the footy then give it to another bloke in a red and blue jumper by foot or by hand who does the same until someone can kick a goal! and if they have the ball...... Get it back to perform the first task again! All this crap about boundaries or corridors or anything else just that crap. the boys need to win the ball, provide spread and overlap and present to where the ball is going to be before his direct opponent - do that well and often give the boys a chance to kick a winnable score we will win more than we lose
  19. BH - Love your attitude about 'best available'. But what is best available? What set of attributes actually makes best available? I know what I look for in a footballer is completely different to what we as a club have identified at the pointy end of the draft for past however many drafts. I want hunger, desire for the contest, I want a team oriented approach, I want blokes who can read the play and get to where the footy is going to be, and then go and get it - if they can do that I am then concerned about kicking skills and speed. Not the other way around. I know your hatred of picking someone because they are the brother or son or cousin of someone on our list. Zac interests me because he won Vic country's MVP ant the national carnival, he was written of before he started at under18 level and has continually proved the doubters wrong - I like his attitude. The fact he is Nathan's little brother adds a little intangible to the equation - potentially could help unite a team that has been fractured for many years now. So he's not considered top 10 material but he is apparently considered top 12 material - splitting hairs for mine. If he plays like big brother he will get to 150-200 games to me that would justify a top 10 pick
  20. http://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/zak-jones-the-brother-of-melbourne-demons-star-nathan-is-likely-to-go-in-the-first-round-of-the-afl-draft/story-fnelctok-1226761658596 Young Zak is apparently in the mix at pick 12 just 3 spots off our pick surely we would have some inside knowledge of just how good young Jones is and is going to be, looks like a massive bolter up the order now. Would we think about it if our first choice was already gone at pick 9?
  21. When we picked him up, having no idea about him i thought I'd ask a Geelong supporting mate he had one comment and only comment "spud farmer". Thought ok we'll see how this turns out...... Turns out 100% accurate
  22. Tom Gillies is a good pick up......
  23. Retired at 35 (4 years) all up 30 consecutive seasons! Started as a 5 year old playing Balwyn under 10's. Junior footy at Balwyn/school footy in APS, got to under17s at Hawthorn the year before they scrapped the under 19 system ( to start the TAC cup). Ammo's at Old Scotch and Old Camberwell. 2 years in playing in Broken Hill then finally 10 years in Nth Queensland. A few premierships along the way - out of footy circles since 2009. Reckon it's about time to start some coaching and pass on some of the footy knowledge
