I used to live in Cairns and early 2000s the Dees played a pre season game up there. Went out that night to one of the hotspots and the bulk of the team where all there getting on it! Had a chat to Neita and he introduced me to a bunch of the lads, including Jeff White , Yze even Matty Bate who had just been recruited and Neita said he's a future 200 gamer....... Great night, spewing I had to leave around 230am(they were still kicking on) as i started work at 7am, oh my head.

I think when the emotion of this subsides over the coming days many will see that our list is in better shape than it was prior to the trade period. The big plus is the circus is finally over and we now look like we have a list of players committed to the club.

Bryce Gibbs openly wanted to go to Crows in 2016 trade period and it fell on its arze. He had a pretty solid year for then finishing 4th in the bnf 2017. I'm sure there are many other examples of this happening. I expect Jesse to fit back in fine. The one thing that concerns was hearing Mike Sheehan say on radio yday say he would be happy with IN May OUT Hogan. To me it's a massive loss but Mike would know better than any journo out there.

Sad to see him go, especially considering he is far from playing his best footy thus far in his career. But it's hard to ignore we've played our best footy without him in the team both this year and some of last year. We will adapt without him, and if we manage to bring in a gorilla tamer like May as part of the deal, which we've lacked for an eternity, not to mention the return of Lever, we will be well positioned for a tilt at a flag next year.

Just seems like one of the great guys to have around the club , he's enjoyed our rise this year as much as any of us . Thanks for your service Pedo, I'll miss you

Aren't you the same "fan" who jumped ship post match yesterday? I'd say our culture has evolved an enormous amount in the past month alone, let alone the rest of the year. There appears to be enormous belief among the playing group and coaching staff. There is a lot of improvement to go and we have huge upside. Yesterday was a very poor effort no doubt about it, they looked cooked mentally and physically very early in the first qtr. The fact is we are just not quite ready to go all the way and you can expect a few more disappointing performances at times next year. Most fans can see the future unfolding and it looks awesome from where I stand. Unfortunately there are still many fans like your good self that seem stuck in the veil of negativity culture.

Was extremely confident pre match against Cats, quite confident against Hawks. Started this week more hoping than anything but my tune has changed. It's a massive challenge but I think we'll win. All the talk is about the addition of Darling and JK. Problem for them is the ball is less likely to get to them with the addition of Viney. He is playing like a man possessed since returning from injury. Then there is our belief. The team now exudes it, and I reckon the supporters are feeling it for the first time in half a century. It's our time.

What an amazing experience. 2 weeks in a row with all the Dees faithful at the G, totally outnumbering the fans of 2 of the most successful teams of the past 10 years. I actually feel we still have enormous upside. Hawks were well drilled last night and made it difficult for us to score in the first half. I don`t think WCE will tag and scrap like the Hawks did and it will be a more open game which will suit us. How good to party hard with Dees fans in Richmond last night, I won`t have any voice left whatsoever if we keep winning. I got home at 3 and watched the last qtr replay, bed at 4am WE can win the flag. 2 more wins! I believe we can do it. Can`t believe I`m saying it!!

As a Father to 2 very young kids it makes my blood that people stoop this low. I`ve got to say though, I went out and partied hard in Richmond last night, Dees fans everywhere. I would have spoken to at least a dozen different Hawks fans and every single one of them took it well, was complimentary about The Dees and all hoped we go on to win the flag. I`ve always considered them as arrogant, bandwagon student w@nker type supporters, but I was totally surprised by how well they took it!

Pedo was the first person cheering the team as they walked off the G down the race on Friday , and I've seen his genuine excitement for the team on multiple occasions this year when he wasn't part of the 22. It's great to see.
