What an incredible night. Felt like 75% Dees, the noise and spirit in the G was unbelievable. Seeing Dangerwood both lose their [censored] was just beautiful karma after their actions at the cattery. Got home at midnight, cracked a cab sav and nearly teared up watching the replay! Bed at 3!

Stoked for Weed, boy has he arrived as a player the past 3 weeks, but he became a man last night. A bloke I worked with says he is as nice a bloke as you'll ever meet.

I put my hand up to say I had written this bloke off after 2 years in the wilderness with injury. I totally underestimated how important a player he is. It's no coincidence that we are playing the most brutal and physical footy I've ever seen us play in half a century, since he returned to the team. He has raised the bar for our hardness at the footy and every other player has followed suit. He was huge last night.

I too have an unnerving sense of calm about me, it's a ridiculous and foreign feeling considering how long we've waited to play finals. But I'm very bullish on a win tonight!

Really stiff to miss out on a final but it's the right call bringing Hannan in. JFK has impressed at times over the last month and I reckon he's done enough to earn a contract extension. He's a solid depth player now. At the very worst, he's improved his trade value significantly, and I wouldn't be surprised if Carlton or GCS started sniffing around as he may get limited opportunity again next year. May still be required next week if we win and cop any injuries .

Just get him in the rooms pre match. He would not even need to speak, his presence alone would lift this group!

I thought this was as good as we've played all year. GWS despite their injuries are one of the form teams of the last 10 weeks and we made them look ordinary. We played with a hardness I haven't seen from a Melbourne team in decades and I'd go as far as saying there is no harder more physical team in the comp. We played almost arrogant, dare I say it, finals football today. Every team will fear playing us, we are a seriously dangerous outfit peaking at the business end of the season
