  1. This is what concerns me as much as our form. Pre Roos/PJ era we leaked like a sieve but under their reign you never heard a peep from the inner sanctum. This info would not have been leaked if they were still in charge.
  2. We'd be mad to risk him. With the form he has been in we'd hardly notice him not playing. He's looked slow all year TMac, rest up and get it right
  3. Fritsch should be playing this role but is being played our of position by necessity currently. I was hoping KK might be someone who could give us some outside run. I know he is underdone but he doesn't appear to have any pace, like the majority of our list. Hibberd is looking well below par down back, I wonder if he could play wing when Lever n May return?
  4. I agree it's speculation, but having him out on the ground in a nothing pre season game when he was clearly injured is nothing short of diabolical, not to mention playing with a squad 2 men down which led to players spending more TOG than they were intended to due to losing 2 players to injury before halftime.
  5. Contention: The Ollie Wines debacle. I have heard from DL that there was a heated discussion between T Viney and Neeld on the decision to recruit Jimmy T, but I've heard conflicting info on who was on what side. I've always assumed Viney was in the Wines camp due to the the close relationship between the 2 families. Can anyone enlighten?
  6. And they should be outraged Damo. As STMJ mentioned above, if we played with a normal sized squad it would've been a non issue. That alone lead to a number of players playing more game time than they were expected to ( I was told this by a player). Regardless, the fact they kept him out there hobbling is one of the more inept decisions team management have made for quite a while . Mind boggling He was our best performaning forward preseason, now gone for at least a quarter of the season .
  7. The West Australian paper reporting it is from 2016. Disgraceful gutter journalism.
  8. Good luck to the young fella, great reward for effort. Agree with others re ruckman issue but i did like what I saw from DKeilty against Tiges. Very good leap on him. Whilst he's not someone you'd want rucking permanently I reckon he's a handy backup for a few weeks if and when required.
  9. I reckon I said the same 18 months ago, nothing has changed my mind.
  10. Mike Sheehan was more than happy for Jesse to go, said he would straight swap May for Hogan in a heartbeat not to mention KK and picks. I thought he was crazy at the time but I'd suggest he had very good mail OD
  11. Don't know about a new one but I know AHG aren't going round again.
  12. Thought I'd be brave and venture into this thread for the first time since it was created 7 years ago, to find out what the hell goes on in here.......fair to say after a 10 minute read I've still got no idea. I'll show myself out the door folks, carry on!!
  13. I think when the emotion of this subsides over the coming days many will see that our list is in better shape than it was prior to the trade period. The big plus is the circus is finally over and we now look like we have a list of players committed to the club.
  14. True.... I should've added "in the media "
  15. Mike Sheehan Said he would be satisfied with Hogan out, May In straight swap. Tell me anyone who would no more about the ins n out's of this club. If we get KK and a pick in the 20s on top we've done more than OK in my book
  16. Bryce Gibbs openly wanted to go to Crows in 2016 trade period and it fell on its arze. He had a pretty solid year for then finishing 4th in the bnf 2017. I'm sure there are many other examples of this happening. I expect Jesse to fit back in fine. The one thing that concerns was hearing Mike Sheehan say on radio yday say he would be happy with IN May OUT Hogan. To me it's a massive loss but Mike would know better than any journo out there.
  17. Sad to see him go, especially considering he is far from playing his best footy thus far in his career. But it's hard to ignore we've played our best footy without him in the team both this year and some of last year. We will adapt without him, and if we manage to bring in a gorilla tamer like May as part of the deal, which we've lacked for an eternity, not to mention the return of Lever, we will be well positioned for a tilt at a flag next year.
  18. Just seems like one of the great guys to have around the club , he's enjoyed our rise this year as much as any of us . Thanks for your service Pedo, I'll miss you
  19. To those at the G last night, how was the roar from the crowd when the boys broke from the 3/4 time huddle!! I've never heard anything quite like it during a break.
  20. What an incredible night. Felt like 75% Dees, the noise and spirit in the G was unbelievable. Seeing Dangerwood both lose their [censored] was just beautiful karma after their actions at the cattery. Got home at midnight, cracked a cab sav and nearly teared up watching the replay! Bed at 3!
  21. Stoked for Weed, boy has he arrived as a player the past 3 weeks, but he became a man last night. A bloke I worked with says he is as nice a bloke as you'll ever meet.
  22. I`ve been a critic of Weid but he played his role really well and has earnt another game next week. Looks like he has timed his run to perfection on will be part of our finals campaign. Well done young fella.
  23. Not so sure we can blame Darwin for these injuries. Viney said this week he was sore prior to The Dockers game and IIRC didn't someone in DL say Stretch was advised to 'run the soreness out " in that same game? Injuries happen and yeah we are likely to get more, we've had a pretty good run until the past week or so . I'd like to think we have the cattle to cover these injuries but we are not quite there yet, so the calibre of these players are hard to replace. I'm all for getting rid of this fixture though, at the very least we MUST have a bye afterwards.
