  1. I used to live in Cairns and early 2000s the Dees played a pre season game up there. Went out that night to one of the hotspots and the bulk of the team where all there getting on it! Had a chat to Neita and he introduced me to a bunch of the lads, including Jeff White , Yze even Matty Bate who had just been recruited and Neita said he's a future 200 gamer....... Great night, spewing I had to leave around 230am(they were still kicking on) as i started work at 7am, oh my head.
  2. Sounds like we are taking those picks to the draft after hearing Mahoney speak a short time ago
  3. I think when the emotion of this subsides over the coming days many will see that our list is in better shape than it was prior to the trade period. The big plus is the circus is finally over and we now look like we have a list of players committed to the club.
  4. So still got 23 and now 28......something brewing maybe?
  5. True.... I should've added "in the media "
  6. Mike Sheehan Said he would be satisfied with Hogan out, May In straight swap. Tell me anyone who would no more about the ins n out's of this club. If we get KK and a pick in the 20s on top we've done more than OK in my book
  7. Bryce Gibbs openly wanted to go to Crows in 2016 trade period and it fell on its arze. He had a pretty solid year for then finishing 4th in the bnf 2017. I'm sure there are many other examples of this happening. I expect Jesse to fit back in fine. The one thing that concerns was hearing Mike Sheehan say on radio yday say he would be happy with IN May OUT Hogan. To me it's a massive loss but Mike would know better than any journo out there.
  8. Sad to see him go, especially considering he is far from playing his best footy thus far in his career. But it's hard to ignore we've played our best footy without him in the team both this year and some of last year. We will adapt without him, and if we manage to bring in a gorilla tamer like May as part of the deal, which we've lacked for an eternity, not to mention the return of Lever, we will be well positioned for a tilt at a flag next year.
  9. Just seems like one of the great guys to have around the club , he's enjoyed our rise this year as much as any of us . Thanks for your service Pedo, I'll miss you
  10. To those at the G last night, how was the roar from the crowd when the boys broke from the 3/4 time huddle!! I've never heard anything quite like it during a break.
  11. What an incredible night. Felt like 75% Dees, the noise and spirit in the G was unbelievable. Seeing Dangerwood both lose their [censored] was just beautiful karma after their actions at the cattery. Got home at midnight, cracked a cab sav and nearly teared up watching the replay! Bed at 3!
  12. Stoked for Weed, boy has he arrived as a player the past 3 weeks, but he became a man last night. A bloke I worked with says he is as nice a bloke as you'll ever meet.
  13. I`ve been a critic of Weid but he played his role really well and has earnt another game next week. Looks like he has timed his run to perfection on will be part of our finals campaign. Well done young fella.
  14. Not so sure we can blame Darwin for these injuries. Viney said this week he was sore prior to The Dockers game and IIRC didn't someone in DL say Stretch was advised to 'run the soreness out " in that same game? Injuries happen and yeah we are likely to get more, we've had a pretty good run until the past week or so . I'd like to think we have the cattle to cover these injuries but we are not quite there yet, so the calibre of these players are hard to replace. I'm all for getting rid of this fixture though, at the very least we MUST have a bye afterwards.
  15. Happy to play there, just give us the bye the following week . I'm very nervous about how we recover for The Dogs match. Their pace could destroy us when we tire, and we will.
  16. Yeah I`m not sure everyone has read the article, he`s no certainty to be picked but good luck young fella IF you get the call up.
  17. Hardest at it when the game was on the line in the first half, sensational effort. Upside on this lad is enormous !
  18. Guess who went one pick before Lucas Cook...... T Lynch GC. Sorry, not very therapeutic, I know
  19. Well put. And to all those bemoaning giving up first round draft picks, I give you the following - Strauss, Blease, Cook, Toumpas, Tapscott, Gysberts, Petterd, Morton, I could go on but I`m sure you can see my point by now.
  20. Correct me if I`m wrong but didnt the drive-by take place just before a sporting event/speaking gig type deal that he was to spill some beans but later pulled out of?
  21. True! Could always be a 3way trade! Reckon the Dogs maybe Saints could do with a young key tall forward
  22. I wonder if The Weid has come up as a possible trade with a pick in exchange for Lever? The emergence of TMac as a forward, along with Hoges and Watts, means he is almost surplus to requirements, and yes I know we signed him up earlier this year, but we know a contract is just a but if paperwork these days. I'd hate Frost to be on the table, his upside is enormous in my opinion. Lever would be a great get!
  23. Flash was something else prior to that hammy at Etihad. I`d say all those goals were pretty early in his career, what a star he was. Great work Ash, I`ll be watching that over and over!
  24. RIP Chris Cornell. Another legend gone too soon. Very sad.
