  1. I am so down today. I have followed Leonard closely. Two weeks he commented that giving a Noble prize to Bob Dylan (his good friend BTW) was like pinning a medal on Everest. In that interview he jokingly said he planned to live forever.
  2. Nup. not working for me. Any one give a brief overview?
  3. I would think if a trade did happen involving Jack he would be worth quite a bit now.
  4. The swans are taller tough and talented. They may feel entitled to win. The Dogs just endure an absolute furnace to get the ball forward. Under enormous pressure they find a way through. Hugely admirable.
  5. My understanding from a couple of years ago was TS knee would never come good. He'd be a very good player ATM with a good knee then.

My barometer is set on Dawes. It will be sackcloth and ashes if we need to keep him.
  7. I think he looks so comfortable taking marks and kicking outside 50 that it might be an idea to play CHB for 5-10 games. Swapping with TMac could work for both of them for a while. He looks stressed inside 50.
  8. I enjoyed the interview but the timing of it was wrong. Andrew was asked questions that he tried to expand on, but because it was 30 minutes before the game, it seemed that the panel was trying to make it a bit "punchier" by cutting him off with more questions. No-ones fault I guess, but it seemed me there were no one word answers for the questions rasied.
  9. Watched the last half on TV. In the rooms when they sang the song, every one was looking up at their teammates except Hogan who stared at his feet the whole way through. Anyone see it? Probably disappointed about his game rather than anything else but a pretty bad look.
  10. Hogan is not sure what to do. He makes a lead and the ball goes to another pocket. If he is around a contest in the forward line he doesnt engage the fight on the ground for it. In fact unless he is in the mood he wont get too close to the contest. It looks like he is saying "Im over here"! Unless he has a sore back he has to get down and dirty. Watts did it, Jesse has to do it.
  11. Russian Scientists have transmuted elements in to different elements. http://www.lifecoachcode.com/2016/07/10/russian-scientists-produce-technology-transmute-element/ Wonder if they can do anything with spuds.
  12. The $2.7M he gave to bail us out seemed to save us from a bad fate at the time. Sure some stuff went down but it didnt seem too bad, then or now. Dunno why demon supporters join the conga line. But there are plenty of big time demon supporters who ousted him only to meekly proclaim that their proxies for Gabriel Szondy may have been a mistake. Yes, no biggie move on.
  13. Jack Grimes 100th game.
  14. I feel for him. Im sure as players get over injuries he will be down forward again. If he cant be 3rd tall, I guess he goes back. I didnt like the howls he got yesterday. Some mcc member really bung it on as if we never lost big time.
  15. Winning at Docklands is worth 2 wins for me.
  16. Terry Wallace. Not looking for other candidates.
  17. We need to kick hard and low into the forward 50. Play Trengove in Kents role. Forwards try demanding the ball. Other moves are deckchairs.
  18. There might be new thinking on stopping players having a night out. I know Adelaide Crows are encouraged/allowed to go out and have few drinks after a win by the coach. I didnt ask but suspect its not much different after a loss. I was surprised but happy to think that a few drinks, sanctioned is better than other options. Others may know more but sounds fine to me. And really if its the Alice, why not?
  19. I think Trengove could do Kents role better. Kent seems to have lost his 1st 3 meters initial pace and Trengove seemed to have that when I saw him earlier this year. He can lead intelligently and might be able to find a forward from 60 M out. Cant be much worse in any case. He would also win in the defensive forward stakes. I try to see what I read others find in OMac and will wait longer, I guess. Tmac changes across goal and gives himself no favours by using his right leg closest to opposition, which marginalizes his opportunities. It is always a worry.
  20. We could be better if we didnt bomb it from 45-75 out in hope. This happens even with a free kick or a mark. Kent Jones Tyson just dont even try, they bomb. I cant remember when I saw someone hit up Watts or Hogan on a lead more than twice a game. If Hogan is double tagged, he should be dragging 2 defenders to the "other side" opening up the fat side. Maybe he just hangs in close. I dont know why other teams seem to be able to hit up forwards yet our entries are fraught with sh!t kicks.
  21. It is easy to believe winning is just around the corner. We need to beat the Saints, the Power and other mid tier teams to consolidate any progress. Coming close second to good teams rather than losing by 10 goals is a relief but that happens occasionally every year. Im hopeful and believe Im with the program but agree that "potential" is a word that gives me the tom-[censored]. If you dont learn from the past you are doomed to failure.
  22. I would play Gawn mainly forward and Spencer can do most of the rucking. Play Hogan higher up the ground. Our midfielders are stronger than the group of Pedo Frost and Dawes.
  23. Am I the only one who doesnt really care if we dont have that many nominations? 2 or 3 are plenty.
  24. It looks to me that: He doesnt have great balance by the time he kicks. He is reasonably accurate anyway which is not a great defense. He is giving the impression he doesnt want to be coached.
  25. Better players are worth more points come trade time. Its win win for players like George Horlin Smith at Geelong and maybe ANB and Vanders as they get to play 1sts with another team. For us if we have enough points from a couple of good trades, we can get a Dion Prestia (possibly) without losing a top 15 player.
