From being cautious about our chances for round 1, I now think its likely to be a blowout for one side or the other. Very tight matches or seemingly unlikely blowouts are typical of Round one. Melbourne over 15.5 points is 2.88 and will probably be $3 by game start. I will be betting. Melbourne have set themselves for 1st round better than I can ever remember. But my non demon relatives on the weekend likened my passion as a disability that I often forget I have. I cant immune myself for a big disappointment if we fail badly on Saturday. I think we should alert the umpires around the 20 minute mark of the 1st qtr that MCCartin took a heavy knock and should be tested for concussion. I dont think he would pass a concussion test whether he got bumped or not.

You make your own luck, and JKH had very little to none on Saturday. Having the ball ripped out of his hands was particularly unfortunate. But he was in the right spots very often and so close to being a part of it, Id definitely give him another go. I think and hope he will step up.

I was told a different story last weekend. Not that I believe it but it went like: Hird's fervent denial that the players were injected with supplements depends on his belief that Dank had taken money for "the good stuff" but that Dank had not gone through with injecting the team with what he (Dank), finally realised was now prohibited. Hird found out the injections were actually saline and that Dank had not come through and had dudded Hird. Thats why Hird was wanting to have the actual records and not what was discussed and paid for. Obviously even if this was true, his intent was real. Not sure if this had been thrown up before as I hadnt kept up with the thread.

I think he looks so comfortable taking marks and kicking outside 50 that it might be an idea to play CHB for 5-10 games. Swapping with TMac could work for both of them for a while. He looks stressed inside 50.

I enjoyed the interview but the timing of it was wrong. Andrew was asked questions that he tried to expand on, but because it was 30 minutes before the game, it seemed that the panel was trying to make it a bit "punchier" by cutting him off with more questions. No-ones fault I guess, but it seemed me there were no one word answers for the questions rasied.
