Where is it stated he is carrying an injury? or Multiple injuries? I havent seen that. I hope Watts plays and is fantastic. We need him right now, this weekend to help out. Just being not bad would put him in the top 20% of his best games. But if he is injured the club should say.

I think you need to accept when a player has more currency on the market than you think he will show in the following seasons. I believe Jesse Hogan and Jack Watts wont help us to play finals. Harsh on Hogan but plenty would pays overs. One or both should help get Lever and/or Kelly. Thats what we need even if the goal square looks forlorn, we do at least as well, it seems without them. And the possibility of getting an outside true A class mid and Lever is alluring.

I dont like this talk of what you can do on the street and compare it to the footy field. You couldnt kick a footy at a person on the street, it would be assault unless you were Dom Tyson, of course. You could hit someone.

He hasn't taken a clean ball in the games since returned from injury. It's not yesterday game on its own. It may be good for jack to have a break. I'm certain it would be good for MFC. This year he has currency. Just look at the manic contest today between eagles and saints. I can't see jack watts willing himself to stand up in a game like that. Yes he played hard a few times earlier this year but it isn't enough.

He is playing like someone who believes he will be traded.

Got his 1st kick in the 3rd quarter so I guess he did have a better half.

Anyone who thinks that "the headline is enough" in the HeraldSun to make a character judgement has serious disadvantages.

What I love most is that Hardwick always does his best to change the lighting of his coaches box so TV cameras cant see him. It always amuses me. I like it better than Clarko covering his mouth to swear. Damo also has been poking himself in the eye a few times when he can bear to look.

Good bet unfortunately, its worth it even if its only to cash out when odds change, which they must surely be about to.

According to my Muslim mate at work, he and many other devout muslims dont bother with getting up early enough to eat and drink each day. I asked why and he said you have to finish before 1st light (at least half an hour before official dawn) so he does not drink anything until last light. Im always amazed. Yes, he has mind fades!

That he fasted or that I mentioned it?

I havent seen it mentioned yet that Houli was fasting on Saturday. It was the last day of Ramadan. If you dont eat from before 1st light, it would be easier to have a mind fade especially at that level of sport. Im not excusing his actions but wondering how strict he would be. My guess is that he would have fasted. Checked: He fasted.

I can see JKH suddenly improving. I watch him "nearly" do some clever things. I believe Bugg and JKH will make it. I reckon Bugg will clean up his kicking and stick his overhead marking, and JKH will just find a calmness in the heat of modern footy and click. I dont have this optimism with Nibbler or unfortunately Harmesy (who I really like).

I have been asking the Blues supporters at work if they noticed the Suns game at Etihad. Answer: mainly No Why? Not one of them had long sleeves. Yet the Blues had at least 6 players that I could see at the MCG in long sleeves. I was told by at least 2 that it is a generational thing (Silvani). I replied Im sure Hardwick would have pointed out at 3/4 time how they are finding the weather uncomfortable.

We won and they played as well as they could. With 2 minutes to go I felt we would do it. Exactly like Id felt when other teams get us previously. That was then This is now.

When are final teams released?

When I watched him pre-season at training I thought he looked best as a small forward. But I dont think he has played that role at Casey. I was impressed with smart fast leading and good hands.

I will feel disappointed if he doesn't get a go. He wont have many chances and I dont expect a lot. I would be happy for the club to show that, like many supporters, he is part of the new wave and the old. We dont forget what Jack has battled and the past we have endured for so long.
