  2. 9 was also Alan Johnson. With Flower the two greatest wing men Ive seen. But we all went to the footy to see Robbie play. 2
  3. Could Hawkins get "time already served" for his next incident?
  4. Must say the $5.30 for Carlton looks tempting. Especially into a low scoring game (under 170 points) which suits the Blues way to win. $8.75. Not that Id bet against Melbourne winning 4 in a row.
  5. Hawkins plea bargained for just a week suspension. i.e. He plead guilty and asked for just a week. After due consideration, he was "Let off" with a week!

Fair enough. I admit I wanted to use the Paul Keating line.

I am not arguing Tyson, its obvious he should be switched for Viney. ANB or Bugg wouldnt turn a game probably but Bugg has the potential to, in my opinion. Petracca is always threatening and then nothing comes from it. But maybe he is also getting the wonderful, magical "Goal Assists". Do you believe Tracc's safe?
  8. There is only so much work you can do to assist your teammates while on the ground. 6 possessions in total is hard to convince that he is worth his role. It sounds like Tim Smith or Pedo would do better. We are having a winning streak but watching North today (for example) we need to be more ruthless.

The little paper said 6 possessions. I will watch the replay and will defer if 4 of them are goal assists. Brings to mind the hot Chocolate Song "Everyones a winner baby".
  10. Weid's 6 possessions were playing his role? Spare me. We need to get better, carrying Weiderman is ridiculous. Pull the other one.

Out Weid in T.Smith - or is 4 kicks a game his "role"? Out Tracc in Bugg - All tip, no iceberg

I think Garlett has been unlucky in getting wet slippery games. He failed. If under a roof, Id say that Jeffy is probably more conducive to a positive outcome than Weid. Saying that, all players should be ok in any conditions. Does jeffy have a better upside, yep. But is his halcyon days sunsetting? unfortunately, yep.

One more week in for the Weid for me. He then has had a 3 week block in the ones to assess.

@Stevethemanjordan is correct about Dom. Too many people believe disposals have been effective. it just means he touches it. His only shining light is that he gets to where the ball is. ANB is similar that he can cover ground to get where the ball is. Both are highly ineffectual.

I would think lewis is finished. I see Bernie playing his role well. But just the fact that i call one by their 1st name and the other by their last shows Im biased.
  17. I guess its been mentioned that Tom Mac has perfected the "Dont Argue". Did at least 3 in the 2nd half.
  18. I heard Terry Wallace say that Hardwicke had held Cotchin and Dusty on the bench for many minutes in the 1st 3 quarters of the games against Melbourne and Collingwood. Plough went on to say that they were "unleashed" in the last quarters. I cant find the last qtr stats to back it up but I like listening to Plough. Nonetheless Richmond have surprisingly good last quarters.

He gets the ball and looks like he has time to do something. His hand ball skills are poor and his kicking accuracy worse. He always thinks he has a half second to dispose and he doesnt. I remember Brian Wilson no being able to understand he lost his quickness. Its frustrating as an observer. Because he is able to collect and stand up very well, I would tell him to kick low to outside the contest so at least he doesnt get smothered. Id say his stats for getting smothered would be highest in the league.

It would be brave to keep blooding Weid when we desperately need to win the next 3. But we have a policy of giving at least 2-3 games to young players. Id love to see Bull Smith and Tracc in for Weids and Tyson. Tyson must have used his credits but maybe they are waiting for Jack Viney. IMO ANB and Harmes still have a life or two left as well, to play into form. If Hogan is out rested, then Smith is a real chance. Im still keen on Pedo but understand those that say he isnt the future.

Tysons kicking is more than a concern, it is not good enough. He never hits a target.

  23. Id be happy to trade Weid, Brayshaw and Frost. I think we'd get overs. Just because Frost doesnt fit well into our backline doesnt necessarily mean he wouldnt be attractive to some clubs for an early 2nd rounder. With Weid we will get more if it looks like we havent given him enough chances. Late 1st round. A lot less IMO if he is given enough rope. Brayshaw will be looked at by Freo WC and North. Might get late 1st round.

Its very wet for the Weid. Smith would handle the conditions better.
  25. Ok but how many times have we kicked 4 in a row ourselves?
