  1. What was he thinking just before the 2004 draft I've resigned to the fact that Petterd will go to the GC in 2011. I think they'll seriously target the kid.
  2. Yeah those games at Carlton in 2002 were great. We spanked the Crows and the Eagles, and yet MFC fans would rather stay at home instead of watching great wins. I really believe Princes Park should be an option for the Dees. Sack the Canberra option, and play 2 games at Princes Park V's Freo and Port as soon as it's available.
  3. Geez Melbourne and Essendon both have the worst luck when it comes to injury
  4. So Green should be back for Collingwood on Queens B'day!!! And hopefully Jamar's back in about round 9 or 10.
  5. Either give him the number 1 tagging job each week when he was known to get BOG playing on the likes of Hird or Steve Johnson, or play him as a permanent fwd like they did in 2000-2001 when he was kicking 35 goals a year. It's not rocket science
  6. You must have money to burn!!! Good lad though, supporting the boys.
  7. Eagles by 30pts. If we somehow manage to beat them, I'd say they've already put the cue in the rack and are chasing priority picks.
  8. He had to go because of those 2 shocking misses V's Adelaide. Needed to be held accountable.
  9. The look on his face suggested he meant it. Normally when players fluke a goal, they have a look of "What the...?" Jack didn't look shocked. I think he meant it.
  10. That must be a sackable offence
  11. At this point you wouldn't get a ham sandwich for him.
  12. I think you'd be the only Melbourne supporter who would prefer that outcome. What would you rather? A late season meaningless (5th) win that would be forgotten in a hurry, or a potential 200 gamer for the club?
  13. Agree. Both rack up touches, and are both slow.
  14. That Essendon game is an away game, so all the money would go to Essendon. Hense my assertion that Watts should debut in a home game.
  15. If we gets picks 1 and 2 this year, I would put pick 2 on the table and see if we can attract an estbalished gun player under the age of 25. Probably won't happen, but I'd like the club to be open minded during trade week.
  16. http://www.theage.com.au/news/rfnews/cousi...0982468704.html An Age article is suggesting that Watts could debut V's Essendon at Etihad in round 12. Not sure if this is a genuine plan or a throw-away line. I would suggest they debut him in round 14 v's West Coast at the MCG, so we can increase what will most likely be another poor crowd. I'd imagine the crowd would increase by up to 5,000 as many demon fans (and some neutral fans) will be anxious to see the kid make his debut. This could be the difference between making a modest profit on the gate as opposed to writing another painful cheque to the G. Thoughts.
  17. Who cares. I'm glad he's replacing that joke of a footballer who can't kick goals from 5 mtrs out. Should've played seniors last week IMO.
  18. This is a fantastic service which I purchased before the NAB Cup. You can watch full replays on demand about 24 hrs after its completion. It's very reliable and a good picture. $60 US well spent.
  19. Winning 5 games this year would be nearly as bad as being 5 million in debt. The club would be negligent in passing up the opportunity to get picks 1 and 2 in the last 'legit' draft.
  20. Seems strange in this day in age of professional football, that listed players still attend school. Bad luck to the kid. Hope this doesn't erode his pace, as someone mentioned that was the main reason he was drafted.
  21. Hope Grimes has a super game. I'd love to see him in the side within 3 weeks.
  22. Bruce to S Johnson. Last year at Skilled he kept him to 2 goals while kicking 3 himself from the back pocket! Was a superb performance by Bruce. Bruce often plays his best footy when he has a job. The player that does the most damage against us is Hawkins. 9 goals in 2 games against us.
  23. We need Jamar back like a dog needs his bone!!
  24. 32,752 Please turn up Dee fans.
  25. Melbourne 12.9.81 Geelong 18.21.129 Goals - Davey 3, Robbo 2, Miller 2, Newton 2, McLean 1, Jones 1, Maric 1 Best - Davey, McLean, Petterd, Jones, Martin, Bruce Davey to have his career best game with 33 touches and 3 goals McLean to get 30 touches and heaps of clearances Newton to keep his spot (at expense of Bate) and take some telling marks and kick straight. Petterd to return to half back where he belongs. Outside the Richmond game, this will be our best performance of the year.
