  1. I thought Freeman looked bloody great the other night before injured.
  2. Didn't Lions have half their side out last night?I wouldn't read a thing into it.
  3. After watching last night, didn't realise they're full 20 minutes plus time on, just like a home and away game.
  4. Anyone who thinks we wouldn't be better off with Rivers still at the club doesn't understand Australian Rules Football. A perfect third key defender. Is one of the better readers of the play with his interception of kicks. His major weakness is playing on the gorillas/Trav Clokes of the league.
  5. Is he a law student? If so we can do what we did with Dawes and have our Collins Street lawyers offer him a job after footy. Freo will ask for pick 2 (I think we'll finish 17th again) and Hogan.
  6. Agree.Everytime I see Moloney and Rivers play, I hope they stuff up and anger their fans (I admit Moloney was more than serviceable for Brisbane last year and Rivers was very useful last night and late last year) On the other hand we can't really have a crack at blokes like Petterd and Bennell who were delisted. On a side note, it's quite amazing we delisted Petterd but offered list cloggers in Nicho and Bail 2 year extensions at the same time. Bizzare list management.
  7. According to the Freo scribes on bigfooty, he had about 9 touches at 40% effeciency. They weren't impressed, but said he got better by the game. I don't particularly wish him much success at Fremantle.
  8. With Clark's immediate future in doubt, the onus is on Pedersen to step up big time and play Clark's role as a key forward. Pedo should be aiming to kick 10-12 goals in the pre season series.
  9. Wasn't Viney in full training on Monday? I expect him to play in NAB 2.
  10. I don't know about you Old Dee, but I'm hoping Hogan can have a Jack Darling like debut season - 20 games, 35-40 goals.
  11. Speaking of Byrnes, we really should be expecting 30-35 goals from a forward pocket specialist with 2 premierships under his belt. What did he end up with last year? 13?
  12. Worth remembering that he kicked 9 goals in 3 games v's Bulldogs, Sydney and Brisbane during the Neil Craig honeymoon period.
  13. Fitzpatrick will probably end up playing at least 15 games this year as Clark and Dawes are chronically unreliable in terms of getting on the park. I think he's the sort of player that will get better by the year and will probably hit the scoreboard more than Dawes.
  14. Can anyone evaluate Bail's performance today? Is he a chance for round 1? Edit - master, just saw your review on Bail.
  15. I say go for the win and play every player not in rehab. Having said that, if none of Clark, Dawes, Hogan or Fitzpatrick play, we won't kick a score.
  16. When I first saw the thread title I didn't know if the author of the thread was in love with Paul Johnson or Peter Jackson. I agree that Jackson appears to be a better fit for the MFC than previous leaders such as Ray Ellis, Paul McNamee and Steve Harris.
  17. Meanwhile who's going to volunteer to focus on Nicholson and Pedersen?
  18. This is the MFC we are talking about. We are in the business of injuries.I expect him and Pederson to be CHB and FB at times next year.
  19. I could be wrong but didn't Pedo play about 12 games in defence and I'd certainly consider him depth in defence.
  20. Guys don't panic. The reason why we traded for Pedersen and put him in a 3 year contract is so he would be the heir apparent for chip in Pedo's 3rd year. Brilliant medium term list management by the organisation.
