Yeah you'd have to say round 1 is not looking good for Clark. However it looks brighter for Hogan and Dawes for round 1. Surely a 2 pronged attack of Hogan and Dawes will be a better option than the most recent combo of Sellar and Watts (who did kick 4). I think we're a sniff to beat St Kilda and GWS even without Clark, as long as Hogan and Dawes are playing. -

My take from that article is the following: Hogan will return to training by Friday at the earliest. Should be available for the Richmond game on Feb 14. Dawes will return to training by Friday next week. 4 weeks of full training should give him a chance for the Geelong game on Feb 28. Should play Hawthorn on March 8 and be fit for round 1 V St Kilda. Clark - who the hell knows. I don't think the club does.... -

I reckon that's because nobody has McKenzie in their best 22. I think he'll play 22 games by default (if fit) this year due to him being our number 1 tagger. -
2010 A space oddity (our false dawn and Paul Roos)

The days of being a mediocre team. I miss them Anyone realise that between round 15 2010 and round 17 2011 we had a 11-11-1 winning record under Bailey. -
Stone motherless and (almost) last

Add Bernard Vince being seen in the Chris Dawes Rehab centre this week. I don't think it's been a very good pre season in terms of numbers on modified programs. -

Agree with that. I'd be really furious if our St Kilda and/or GWS games were at the MCG and the HUN still tipped us o be 0-5. -

Anyone have a rough estimation when Clark will be returning to full training? -
Will Neeld copy and paste Collingwood's 2010 premiership game plan to Carey, like he did with us?
-
Hopefully he can improve his 15% win/loss record with his new role.

How's Jamar going? Training the house down I assume. -
No "elite" players at Melbourne
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Sorry but as of now you cannot possibly say Viney, Trengove, Tyson, Hogan and even Howe are better footballers than Garland. Either they lack consistency or have been around for 5 minutes.Hogan hasn't even played a game yet. Garland is the second best player at the club behind Jones at the moment based on 2013 output. -

As much as I'm happy Cross is on the list and hope he has a successful year, it will be a poor result for the club if in 3-5 years time we all conclude that he was the best recruit of our trade period. -
I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic but his set shots for goal are abysmal. So is Viney's for that matter.

Surprised Nicholson didn't make that list -

I don't think Jamar actually does anything these days. -
I was referring to the Melbourne V Port round 1 game, not all of Port games. But you're right, Port did play a good brand of footy last year, involved in lots of high scoring close game. Not sure if they'll play finals again though.
-
You actually watched the Port, Essendon and most of West Coast games. You sir deserve a medal for bravery. As for Pedo, you'd say 10 games this year would be a good result for both he and club.
-
Always good to hear about extensions but the M Jones one surprises me. Some here can't even see him getting a game this year.

If boring tempo footy gives us a few wins this year, then bring it on. -
Seems odd to have our first offical intra-club game after our first Nab Cup game V's Richmond. Would be around Feb 5 you'd think.

Some transparancy re: Clark would be good. Why has he not been training this week? Has he still got that hamstring injury or ongoing foot problems or both. -

Jamar still in rehab eh... Seriously has this bloke done a thing since 2011? Anyone get the feeling Spencer will be our number 1 ruckman for 2014? -

I was thinking the exact same thing. Surely it would make more sense to have the speculative Hunt as a rookie and the stock-standard TAC CUP under 18's footballer in Harmes as late ND pick. Maybe we received some some intelligence that another club was looking at Hunt after us in the draft. -
St. Kilda v Melbourne - 2006 Elimination Final

This was the game we all thought McLean would be an all time great for the club. A very unexpected win given our previous finals performances of 04 and 05.
