MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 5
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'm convinced Pedersen plays his best footy as a defender. He's pretty good and strong in the one-on-ones and has adequate skills going the other way. His 2 games vs GWS in 2013 and 2014 were really good as a defender, in ordinary losses. I'd play Pedersen as a key defender tomorrow, allowing Garland to take Walters or Ballantyne and releasing Howe as a forward to get them off guard a little. -
They'll both get 1 with the early plea. Neither player was all that affected by the hits.
-
Watch them both get 1 week and be available for our game in 2 weeks.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 5
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yeah it will be a disgrace if we can't win 2 of the next 3.... -
Not sure to laugh or be offended?

I must admit I wanted them to re-rookie Tappscott rather take the punt on Vandenberg. Can someone please put the humble pie in the oven for me, 25 minutes at 180.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - ANGUS BRAYSHAW
Bring-Back-Powell replied to ashdemons22's topic in Melbourne Demons
Future captain for sure (unless Hogan takes it off him) You can tell he already loves the club, as demonstrated by his early contract extension. Loved that goal he nailed in the third quarter. -
Anyone know where to watch the replay online - an alternative to afl.com.au, which doesn't require you to be a Telstra customer.

GAME DAY - Anzac Eve Game vs Tigers
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
That would all but guarantee the fixture will continue next year.Hoping most of our supporters rock up. We know Richmond's will. -
Training - Wednesday 22nd April, 2015
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Roger Mellie's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yeah I agree , Garletts doing his job. Getting plenty of shots on goal which is a positive. He's on track for 30.70 and I highly doubt he's going to keep kicking so many behinds. -
Training - Wednesday 22nd April, 2015
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Roger Mellie's topic in Melbourne Demons
Anyone worried that we might run out of legs on Friday night? Back to back interstate games plus last week was a physical wet slog. I expect this will be the first excuse if we lose. -
Surprised nobody's mentioned what Scoop McClure said about Hogan tonight on 3aw. Basically said that someone overheard him say he wants to return to Perth at some stage. This club must not under any circumstance lose this player.
-
The fact that Garlett has kicked 5.10 is a bit of a positive IMO. It means he's having plenty of shots on goal. If nothing changes he's on track to kick 21.70 and I highly doubt that will happen for a bloke of garletts class.

Maybe against Carlton? As it stands I'm confused as to why we have the red one.
-
Yes.Sent the player off bleeding as a result of a crude tackle.

We Should Smash Richmond
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Straight Sets Simon's topic in Melbourne Demons
If Richmond are going places this year and wanting to play and win a final, they really should be beating teams like us comprehensively. I think we're about $4 to win. -
I'm really worried Vince will be suspended for Friday night for that incident on Sloane. Will be sadly missed for the Richmond game.

Adelaide v Melbourne POST MATCH DISCUSSION - ROUND 3
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I hope you're right but it looked like he elbowed Sloane and may cop a week. -
Is vince gone for knocking off Sloane? Didn't look good.
-
He'll play. Getting the 4 points is apparently more important than ones safety.Plus didn't Parker or some other Swan play last week after a serious concussion the week before?

Jeff Garlett court appearance
Bring-Back-Powell replied to LegsLeoncelli's topic in Melbourne Demons
Good news. Everytime Garlett goes to court he follows it up with a big game the next day. He had a clinker against Essendon in the Nab after his earlier appearance in court. -
Are we wearing the red or the white tomorrow? On a side note that new Hawks jumper is horrid. What was wrong with their clash strip last year?
-
Totally disagree. They'll touch us up both times.Collingwood are going to be the flat track bullies of 2015. They'll beat up on the rubbish sides and be found wanting against the good sides (like Adelaide last week) They'll be licking their lips when they play us as they'll know they be able to get an easy kill against inferior opposition. They'll finish an irrelevant 10th-12th this year.

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
Bring-Back-Powell replied to praha's topic in Melbourne Demons
The four records I can possibly see being broken this season. 1) Beating St.Kilda. We play them twice and while I doubt we'll beat them at Etihad, I would sincerely hope we could at least beat them at the G. 2) winning 2 in a row. We have a friendly fortnight in rounds 16 and 17, when we play Brisbane and St Kilda at the G. Both appear winnable on paper. 3) beating Collingwood. We play them twice, and given that the Pies are in re-build mode, we could beat them if we get them an off day. 4) winning at Etihad. While I can't see us beating the dogs in rd 20 and GWS in rd 23, we do play St Kilda at Etihad in rd 11, which could be winnable, depending on if St Kilda fall away by then.
