Just don't tell that to a section of Melbourne supporters who refuse to go to MFC home games at Etihad, for no apparent reason.
-
Maybe that had something to do with his interrupted pre-season? I reckon he missed 4-6 weeks of training last summer.
-
Yeah I reckon he may have been initially signed for 3 years. He did get recruited with an excellent reputation despite playing just 1 game in 3 years for Freo, due to injuries.

A crowd of 9,000 is a disgrace in this day in age. It's not the late 80's - early 90's anymore. Memberships have generally increased by the year and so too should the crowds. We should've got at least 13-15,000 that day. No excuses. Do you think getting pitiful crowds like this one are going to help us get a better commercial draw in the future? Sometimes we've got to help ourselves.

OK fair enough. I just don't get the issue Melbourne supporters have with Eithad? It's a stadium in our CBD, highly accessible from the city and Southern Cross Station. It was a disgrace from our supporters that just 9,000 people (Melb V GWS rd 23) turned up to see their beloved club play in a home and away game. Any wonder we get lumped with the bottom of the barrel scheduling the following year with a pathetic crowd like that. Lets hope far more (people like yourself) bother to turn up to the round 6 home game V St Kilda so we avoid writing another cheque.

I would've thought supporting what is best for the football club would be attending games, particularly home games at Etihad.
-
Sadly I agree with you.My least productive day at work! I don't think we'll get any Friday night games. Carlton's CEO hinted that all bottom 6 clubs will either get none or very little Friday night action.

Who's home game will it be? Would be slightly annoying if it's Richmond's home game as they'd get the gate receipts 2 years in a row.

Yeah they have been kind to us.We haven't travelled in round 1 since 1998. -
One more year for ANZ Stadium deal According to Caro, we're hosting Easter Saturday at the MCG again, vs GWS to open the season. This isn't finalised yet, but Caro is usually on the money when it comes to fixture news.

What an insult to Dawes and Pedersen.

Any chance we can package M Jones and Terlich to a club for a swap of picks in the 120's?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN KENNEDY
Bring-Back-Powell replied to MadAsHell's topic in Melbourne Demons
So we essentially got a pick in the 50's for a nervous wreck on the field, and Kennedy and a mid second rounder for Howe. Not the disaster many think it is. -
It will be Howe and pick 43 for Kennedy and pick 27. Collingwood will dictate the terms on this one.
-
Jesse White for Jeremy Howe straight swap. Sauce - Social media.

Nar we'd need Sydney to throw in some steak knives to get that one done. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Theo's topic in Melbourne Demons
The point I was making is that you don't hear st Kilda or hawthorn fans sooking about Carlisle's possible suspension but us Melbourne supporters are carrying on like pork chops regards Melksham's possible suspension. -

For anyone that thinks he's a dud, go and YouTube the highlights of the Essendon v Carlton game of Rd 11 2013 and check out who kicks the clutch winning goal with 1:30 left. Also everyone's stressing about Melksham's possible suspension, but nobody has ever posed the same concerns about Carlisle, who was likely part of the 34. -
K thx.Know what jumper number he'll be wearing so I can get it on my back?
