Delistings/trades at end of the season
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Northern Summer's topic in Melbourne Demons
Moore would just be another Michie or Newton recruit, an average player who is clearly not best 22. Port supporters can't stand him as a player. -
I don't know how you could draw a conclusion from that video. Yes he didn't seemed enthused about the prospect of next year at the Dees, but at the same time he also didn't have the poor body language of someone that wants out door. I expect him gone but if clubs aren't going to pay him the Bucks he wants than he may as well stay at the club that gave him his chance at the big league.

Essendon VFL v Casey Scorpions
Bring-Back-Powell replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
Any diehard Melbourne supporters going to or watching this game on TV, in preference to going to the GWS game today? -
He will be a late change for N Jones and play 20+ games next year for the MFC, where he's contracted.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 23
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Watts late in for N Jones? Only reason they dropped Watts was to save the embarrassment and confidence of Michie and Newton who's careers are at the cross roads and whom have both been in and out of the side like yoyos. -
MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 23

GWS are paying $1.90 to win by just 11 points or more. -
MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 23

GWS are missing the following from their best 22. The ones in bold were in their best when they played us in round 2. Mumford Coniglio Shiel Scully Griffen Patfull Davis Hoskin-Elliott Haynes -
Shannon Byrnes board.

He sounds like a rich mans Jack Watts,

I think we've improved dramatically under Roos. Let's use the the Carlton losses of 2012, 2013 and 2015 as an excellent case study: Under Neeld we lost to Carlton by 54 points in 2012 and 61 points in 2013. However, under Roos we put in a dramatic improvement and lost by an honourable and courageous 23 points. Now if that's not improvement, I don't know what is.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN KENNEDY
Bring-Back-Powell replied to MadAsHell's topic in Melbourne Demons
Struggles to kick 35 metres. Next. -
Congrats to a player that will go down as an MFC great. If I were in charge of the club I'd rest him this week (call it general soreness) and let him play his 200th in front of his home crowd vs GWS. This weekends going to be a complete write off, a 100 point flogging and he deserves to celebrate it in better circumstances.

Father's Day v GWS - who will be there?
Bring-Back-Powell replied to defuture15's topic in Melbourne Demons
I've been to Simmonds stadium and Manuka oval this year so I may as well go to a game in the Melbourne CBD. Who knows, maybe we might get our first win at this stadium for 8 years, a stadium located a whopping 7ks away from where we train. -
I can't believe everyone is so confident of a win. Reeks of the a Essendon game where everyone's so focused on how bad the opposition is and forgets whether we're actually good enough to win a game of footy.
-
His pass in the 3rd qtr to Hogan (I think) last week was sublime. Was clearly in our best. We were also singing his praises in the Richmond win in rd 4. Also ended last year quite well so might be the sort of player that works himself into a season. Probably just worth perserving with but doesn't provide any point of difference at AFL level.

Ramifications of a loss this weekend

With a half fwd line of Michie-Dawes-Harmes would anyone be surprised? -
MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 21
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Sunday has the Essendon game written all over it Away game at the G Opposition coming off a horror performance We'll come in cocky and arrogant despite putting in a shocker as well Opposition will fluke a 6 goal quarter while we bury our heads. We'll play our token 1 good quarter of footy in the last qtr and lose by 6 points just to remind our fans that if we were switched on for more than 30 minutes we would've won easily. -
Don't you remember the Essendon game? We all expected to win by 10 goals and ended up losing. This is Melbourne we're talking about. Take nothing for granted.

Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 20

Disappointing re:Salem if true. Funnily enough he was also a late exclusion due to a virus against North at Etihad last year. Must not want to play there!! Anyone have a breakdown of age and game experience between the 2 sides. Apparently Dogs are the 3rd youngest club in the league, which makes their season even more remarkable. -
In - Salem Out - One of Michie, Harmes or ANB Wouldn't be surprised if Bail is recalled given he played ok in the rd 8 win over Dogs and was BOG for Casey last week. Is it just me or does anyone else have a good feeling this week. This Etihad drought has to end eventually. What pro sporting team in the world apart from us, has not won a game at a venue in their own town for 8 years?

Demonland Player of the Year - Round 19
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I reckon Viney would be taking the Bluey home this year had he not broken his leg. Been so consistent this year and I feel like a pickle for almost writing him off after the Essendon nab challenge game. -
-
I give us a sniff this week. Just think the Dogs are due for a down week and we have to win at Etihad eventually. Plus we always have close encounters with them, even during our darkest years of 2012 and 2013.
