St. Kilda v Melbourne - 2006 Elimination Final
This was the game we all thought McLean would be an all time great for the club. A very unexpected win given our previous finals performances of 04 and 05.

Ian Ziering as a development coach
This has to be in the top 10 worst threads of all time. Well done sir.

Jack Watts
I reckon Watts and his management will want 3 years which will see him a restricted free agent by then. While the mfc would probably prefer 2 years. This might hold up the negotiations.

Jack Watts
I'll take a soft performance with a garnish of 4 goals, any day of the week.

Jimmy Toumpas
A bit off topic but I'm not sure you drop him based on one really poor game. Remember he played his best career game the week before v Geelong.

Small forward?
Anyone interested in getting Austin Wonnamerri down for a pre season?

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - NEVILLE JETTA
Wow! We've officially become the AFL's fastest team with Blease, Strauss, Brennel and now Jetta Matt Burgan got this one correct.

Which MFC player have you met personally?
One would hope that beautiful blonde is his wife . They got married in the off season. Agree that he is a champion bloke. Played a few numbers at my cousins wedding (The Russell Robertson trio) and had a smile on his face from start to finish. He seems to be a very warm and accomodationg sort of chap. Good luck for a better 07 Robbo!!!

Robbo - He and his band performed a few numbers at my cousins wedding at the Arts Centre in early 06. Top bloke. Also bumped into Wheatley and Whelan at a 21st some years back, just before the season started. I must have given them bad luck as we ended up 14th. Both were very friendly.

5 Minute Wonders
That bloke came over from SA with the biggest reputation (off memory) but failed at all 3 clubs - Kangaroos, Melbourne and Collingwood. Played for the Dees in our 2 worst years of recent memory - 1996 & 97. (or was it just 97?) Pyman was just another poor recruit of the mid-late 90's in the mould of Nick Pesch, Nick Carter, Darren O'Brien (who at least tried) and some Williams bloke from Adelaide who kicked about 18 goals in 1 game for Noble Park last year.

5 Minute Wonders
Gary Moorcroft kicked our first goal of the 2003 Wizard Cup against Richmond at the Dome (a freak soccer off the ground) and I remember all the Dees supporters jumping for joy and claiming he was the MFC next big thing. Missed the season opener against Hawthorn but was quickly elevated for a round 2 clash against his old mob the Bombers at the MCG. Played much of the game on the wing and did deadly squat. (so did the MFC) Was immediatly dropped for our round 3 blockbuster against the Western Bulldogs under the closed Dome roof (dees won by 6 goals). And remained in Sandringham while the Dees played a stinker at Skilled against Geelong. While all hope was lost for the 'red nut', Moorcroft was suddenly rushed back in the side for our round 5 Anzac Day Night game against Sydney. Young Gary kicked a nice second qtr goal from outside 50 however his team wasn't so 'nice' as we let go a 3 goal 3qtr time lead into a 4 goal loss. Gazza was on his last legs against West Coast for a traditional Saturday afternoon battle at the MCG. While the bloke with the ginger hair was again next to useless, he did kick a ripping goal from 55 (from a set shot) as the Dees came from nowhere to snag a 4 point lead at half time. Alas the 'Class of 2003' couldn't sustain their second quarter effort and went down by 6 goals. Thanks for the memories Gary Moorcroft!!!!!!!
