  1. The four records I can possibly see being broken this season. 1) Beating St.Kilda. We play them twice and while I doubt we'll beat them at Etihad, I would sincerely hope we could at least beat them at the G. 2) winning 2 in a row. We have a friendly fortnight in rounds 16 and 17, when we play Brisbane and St Kilda at the G. Both appear winnable on paper. 3) beating Collingwood. We play them twice, and given that the Pies are in re-build mode, we could beat them if we get them an off day. 4) winning at Etihad. While I can't see us beating the dogs in rd 20 and GWS in rd 23, we do play St Kilda at Etihad in rd 11, which could be winnable, depending on if St Kilda fall away by then.
  2. Everyone's talking about Sylivia like he's a washed up has been. Last time I checked he's on the list of a top 4 contender, with the aim of playing 22 games plus finals next year.
  3. Any chance we overlook Petracca should he be available? For instance we we go: Pick 2- Brayshaw Pick 3- Lever, Pickett or De Goey Leaving GWS with the man they so desperately wanted in trade week- Christian Petracca.

Is Beams really that bad a bloke? Yes, he may have had some off-field issues at Collingwood, but as far as I know he's doesn't have a criminal record and has never been suspended on-field. I'll happily offer pick 3 and 12 for Beams and 48. I'll take an elite goal-kicking midfield to go with Jones and Tyson thanks. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up at GWS to be with his best mate Shaw.
  5. Terry wallet on sen is confident McCartin is going to st Kilda with pick 1 leaving us with Pettracca if we want him.
  6. Bastinac and pick 32ish for pick 3?
  7. Given Frawley's gone, we may as well hand our licence back to the AFL if McDonald leaves the club.
  8. And don't forget the amazing 8 goals he kicked in the prelim final v's North Melbourne in 2000. Who else has bagged 8 in a prelim in recent memory?
  9. I could've sworn I saw the Wiz on the weekend V's the Dogs. He was that skinny kid wearing the long sleeve 33 jumper.
  10. Anyone know when Tyson's contract expires?
  11. No he wasn't.Langdon has been solid in all 7 games. JKH has slowly built something, week by week.

You know you've had a tough draft when James Sellar was the 'ace' of the draft.
  13. This was the game we all thought McLean would be an all time great for the club. A very unexpected win given our previous finals performances of 04 and 05.
  14. This has to be in the top 10 worst threads of all time. Well done sir.

I reckon Watts and his management will want 3 years which will see him a restricted free agent by then. While the mfc would probably prefer 2 years. This might hold up the negotiations.

I'll take a soft performance with a garnish of 4 goals, any day of the week.
  17. A bit off topic but I'm not sure you drop him based on one really poor game. Remember he played his best career game the week before v Geelong.

Anyone interested in getting Austin Wonnamerri down for a pre season?
  19. Wow! We've officially become the AFL's fastest team with Blease, Strauss, Brennel and now Jetta Matt Burgan got this one correct.
  20. One would hope that beautiful blonde is his wife . They got married in the off season. Agree that he is a champion bloke. Played a few numbers at my cousins wedding (The Russell Robertson trio) and had a smile on his face from start to finish. He seems to be a very warm and accomodationg sort of chap. Good luck for a better 07 Robbo!!!
  21. Robbo - He and his band performed a few numbers at my cousins wedding at the Arts Centre in early 06. Top bloke. Also bumped into Wheatley and Whelan at a 21st some years back, just before the season started. I must have given them bad luck as we ended up 14th. Both were very friendly.
  22. That bloke came over from SA with the biggest reputation (off memory) but failed at all 3 clubs - Kangaroos, Melbourne and Collingwood. Played for the Dees in our 2 worst years of recent memory - 1996 & 97. (or was it just 97?) Pyman was just another poor recruit of the mid-late 90's in the mould of Nick Pesch, Nick Carter, Darren O'Brien (who at least tried) and some Williams bloke from Adelaide who kicked about 18 goals in 1 game for Noble Park last year.
  23. Cheers mate, Yeah I have read the Coodabeens. Their a great laugh!
