  1. Particularly if our only Friday night game is interstate. Would be absolutely no improvement on 2018's fixture. Surely we'll get at least one MCG Friday night block buster at the G??
  2. Hoping we get 2 Friday night games in Melbourne for the first time since 2011. We may get as little as zero though.
  3. Can’t believe we haven’t travelled in round 1 since 1998 (against Jesse’s mob)
  4. I don’t understand your gripe. A season is 23 weeks. Not just round 1. If we end up having 0 Friday night games then I’ll sympathise with you.
  5. I thought he showed a lot of promise in the AFL X game against Carlton.
  6. I see what you did there. Well played sir. Well played.
  7. I'd rather win the AFLX than have T Mac available for 6 meaningless home and away games.
  8. I'm already having sleepless nights thinking about how we're going to defend our title.
  9. Geez what a professional bunch they must have been! Getting well and truly on the sauce 3 weeks before round 1
  10. We could've gotten a high quality winger on the cheap but Hawthorn got in first.
  11. Incredibly we haven't played Essendon twice in a season since 2005 and Sydney since 2007. Surely we double up against these two sometime soon. My predictions on who we play twice. Richmond West Coast Sydney Essendon Brisbane Expecting a much tougher fixture next year.
  12. Is your sauce good? A strong word sweeping around town is a Oct 31st/Nov 1 release.
  13. His last 5 games (starting from the final and backwards) against us in terms of goals kicked are: 0,0,4,4,4
  14. Yeah good question. Nor sure if it will be more towards the Tom Scully end of “lucky to make it out of the G alive” booing or the Addam Maric/Ricky Petterd “didn’t even realised he moved club” booing.
  15. Me thinks Hunt's going to lose his spot on the banner. That more than anything else will inspire and motivate him this off season.
  16. I would like to second that vote on JFK. Excellent nomination.
  17. I read a few years ago that the MCC always requests that Melbourne play away games against Essendon and Carlton at the MCG. I have no idea why but it would explain why we haven't hosted Essendon since 2010 and hosted Carlton twice in 10 years.
  18. We haven't had a home game at Docklands since 2016.
  19. Be interesting to see how he goes against the top sides next year. It's all well and good to get a hold of the St Kildas and Gold Coasts of the comp, but my major criticism of him as a player is he can't mix it with the big boys. If he can address that, then he's a 75 goal a year player...sadly for us.
  20. Essendon and Port were the premiers and runners ups in last October's trade period. Both clubs were in Bali, Thailand, the US and Europe by September 1 2018.
  21. Knowing Peter Bell it would be Hogan and our future first rounder for Cerra.
  22. Agreed. I'm glad our current and potentially future elite players in Gawn, T Mac, Oliver, Brayshaw , Harmes, Petracca, Salem and Weideman are VIC blokes.
  23. You guys need to re-watch their shock win over Sydney. May was marking absolutely everything (14 marks) that day. The ball just wouldn't get past him. An elite defender's game.
  24. Marks per game in 2018 when comparing with the best defenders in the league: May - 7.5 McGovern - 7.0 Stewart - 6.0 Rance - 5.5
  25. In answer to the original question, yes.
