  2. Indeed we were the away side in 06. However my post was that we haven't beaten North as the away team on a Saturday since 1991. yeah I know, I'm being a bit silly with these random useless facts.
  3. Here's another zinger: Melbourne have beaten North Melbourne as the away side twice since 1991. 1997 and 2006. EDIT - We also beat them in 2005 up in Manuka as the away side.
  4. We haven't beaten North in an away game on a Saturday since 1991. That day Jako kicked 11.8. I doubt half of the people on this forum were born back then.
  5. 1992, (WACA) 1995 (WACA), 1997 (WACA), 1999, 2011 and 2014
  6. We've never beaten West Coast at night in Perth.
  7. Before last Sunday, the last time we beat the Dogs at Etihad as an away game was round 2 2005. And it was the first time we beat them at Etihad on a Sunday as the away team since round 22 2001 (We did beat them on a Sunday as the home team in round 16 2004).
  8. I'd say Brent Harvey has had a fair bit to do with that. Last year he kicked 6 against us and in 2015 he was the difference as well. Waite and Higgins are the danger men this week.
  9. Very good point, except in 2001 we finished higher than North.
  10. In fairness we match up terribly against Carlton. They always seem to grow a leg against us, particularly in our improved years of 15,16 and round 2 this year.
  11. We have to go all the way back to 2016, when we were 4-4 with a percentage of 106.
  12. We've never beaten North in a home and away game on a Sunday as the home side....EVER! Infact we're 0-9. We played them on a Sunday as the home side in 1997, 1999, 2001, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2014 and 2015 and lost them all.
  13. I reckon we smashed some hoodoos on the weekend: The first time we beat Adelaide on a Saturday night since round 2 2001 (when Leoncelli kicked that goal on the siren) The first time we've won a round 8 game since 2006 (Vs Hawthorn)
  14. At the moment would we rather Mills (the bloke we bidded on) or Oliver from the 2015 draft?
  15. I agree that his leadership has been sorely missed. i know it was a meaningless JLT game against the Dogs, but in the dying minutes he knew exactly where to position himself in defensive 50 and took a couple of match saving marks. It was a terrific simulation for the season proper. I'm almost certain we would not have conceded that last goal vs Freo if he was hanging around the back line. On a side note, Geez he must have given Cripps a decent whack to the jaw. How many game has Cripps missed as a result of his "broken jaw" - according to the CFC doc.
  16. If Brayshaw doesn't kick on this year, perhaps we could throw him in the mix. Crows need mids.
  17. Very fair. He was second best in the coaches award vs Carlton and clearly BOG against St Kilda.
  18. McCartin's going to be a very special player. Time will tell who will end up having the better career. Saints made the right move as Riewoldt isn't going to be there forever. He was nearly done last week.
  19. The last time we beat Carlton on a Sunday was round 22 2007. We're also 0-3 against them in the 3:20pm time-slot
  20. One last one to end the season: Haven't tasted success against Geelong on a Saturday afternoon since rd 20 2005.
  21. Yeah you got me, not too many times under lights against Freo. 1997, 1999, 2001 and 2006 I think.
  22. Here's another zinger for you all. The players were seen celebrating hard in Darwin after our win over Freo in round 16. Why? Because it was our first win under lights against Freo as the home team since round 20 1996. A 20 year hoodoo worth celebrating!
  23. The Collingwood win in round 4 holds special significance for the club. It was our first 'away' win against them on a Sunday....ever.
