Meanwhile a Jimmy Toumpas update at Adelaide Oval: 2 possessions, 1 out on the full, 1 free against, 1 dropped mark that required courage.
-
Port Adel v Adelaide: Jimmy Toumpas playing for his career. First disposal - out on the full.

I'm only going by what the footy public are saying about the Saints but they've done a terrific job in going 12-10 for the season (most likely) and appear to be heading in the exact same trajectory as us. And yes I hate them too, purely because we haven't beaten them since 2006. I don't hate Hawthorn as much anymore
-
I'm worried we won't have the same charmed injury list next year. It seriously has been a once in 20 year injury free run which has aided us in climbing the ladder.
-
Yeah I got one of those $29 seats also, which was a bargain considering the same seat was $49 last year. The local rabble aren't too bad down there, as long as you're not in the standing room area. I was sitting next to a young family last year, all of whom were watching their iPads all day and didn't give a snot about the game.

We should've won that draw in 2006. I can vaguely recall Pickett kicking a goal to put us 38 points up before half time.
-
And you can probably add in St Kilda as a powerhouse of the future.
-
Someone on the Richmond bigfooty board alluded to the fact the "Shemons" supporters are crying today that we missed out out Prestia. I agreed with him and wrote that we'll have to unfortunately settle with a crappy midfield of Gawn, Tyson, Jones, Viney, Petracca, Brayshaw and Oliver over the next 3-5 years.

Not to get ahead of myself but I have us playing GWS at Spotless in the semi final, should GWS finish 4th and lose week 1.
-
I think Geelong will finish 4th and GWS finish 5th. Geelong have some percentage boosting wins coming up.
-
If the miracle did happen, I have us playing GWS at Spotless, provided West coast don't win their last 2.
-
Lucky North are playing Sydney next week, because North are near unbeatable in Hobart.
-
Congrats to the boys and us fans for 3 in a row. 3-4 interstate record with 2 of the losses being by 6 and 5 pts to wce and nth respectively 7-4 MCG record. Geez we've improved! Glad I got in early and booked a seat at Simonds stadium in Rd 23. (now that I've said that I fully expect north to beat Sydney or us losing to Carlton)
-
We ain't playing finals this year but if we were, I'd back us to win an MCG final against anyone except for Hawks and Sydney - the finals professionals. If we beat Carlton next week, that would get us to an 8-4 record at the G which is pretty damn good. The only MCg game that we were outclassed all day was against the Dogs. Playing home games at the G is going to hold us in great stead in future years, when finals come around.

Farewell and Thank You, Roosy!

Yes it was a single ticket. I booked 9am on the dot and there was 6 or 7 seats available in a block. Who knows if they are available now. -
Reminds me of Cale Morton.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 21

It should be head to head record not a stupid toss of the coin. -

I bought a ticket yesterday. Only $30 bucks to sit behind the goals at the Ablett terrace/Melbourne end. I went to the afl website and clicked on 'buy tickets' and it sent me to the ticketmaster website. Very user friendly. -
When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
Bring-Back-Powell replied to praha's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yeah you got me, not too many times under lights against Freo. 1997, 1999, 2001 and 2006 I think. -

Here's another zinger for you all. The players were seen celebrating hard in Darwin after our win over Freo in round 16. Why? Because it was our first win under lights against Freo as the home team since round 20 1996. A 20 year hoodoo worth celebrating! -

The Collingwood win in round 4 holds special significance for the club. It was our first 'away' win against them on a Sunday....ever. -

Sue, here's more hoodoos to float your boat: It was the first time we won a home Saturday afternoon game at the MCG V's Hawthorn since rd 22 1990. It was the first time we won a Saturday afternoon game (home or away) V's Hawthorn at the MCG since round 15 2000. It was our away game. It was the first time we beat Hawthorn on a Saturday afternoon as our home game in Victoria since rd 17 1994. Venue was Princes Park. -
I wouldn't be sooking too much if they awarded Brisbane a pick. The AFL have been pretty good to us I would've thought since the dark days of 2011-2013: Instrumental in us getting Peter Jackson Instrumental in us getting Paul Roos Awarded more than fair compensation for losing Sylvia (Vince via pick 25 traded to Adelaide) Awarded more than fair compensation for losing Frawley (Brayshaw via pick 3)

Another 3 (random) hoodoos to smash: 1) Never won an away game at night V's Port Adelaide....ever. 2) Haven't beaten Carlton on a Sunday since 2007 3) Haven't beaten Geelong on a Saturday since 2005
