Brendan McCartney - Moved to the bench
McCartney was definitely in the box during the Brisbane game. I can vividly recall him giving Goodwin an almighty death stare after we fell over the line, as the cameras captured it.

Gaming - we are out!
Is this good or bad news? That's a lot of revenue that will need to be found else where.

The 2018 Finals Poll
It would be an absolute diabolical failure. So much so that Goodwin's position should be put in question. The media and opposition supporters are talking us up like we're a genuine top 4 side. We have to back that up in order to get some respect. We just simply cannot afford to miss the finals again after the pain, hurt and suffering that the players, staff and supporters endured after that round 23 weekend. It would take a Hogan, Oliver, Gawn, Lever, Petracca type injury affected year to even think about dishing out the excuses.

No White for MFC Clash Jumpers for Season 2018
I would've preferred we reverted back to our original clash jumper of 2004-2005 as per below. We would still keep our traditional colours and not divert to white (which everyone seems to hate).

No White for MFC Clash Jumpers for Season 2018
I'm disappointed. I must be the only one who likes a white clash jumper every now and then. The royal blue one sounds crap.

The Jack Watts in 2018 Thread
It was fantastic to read and hear that Watts made the bottom 50 of the Bigfooty's world famous "Moffra's bottom 50". As in he's deemed to be the 35th worst player of 2017. Player 35 - Jack WattsPictured: Getting some head is an often misunderstood termIt may have escaped the Bay's attention, but there is a player in the AFL called Jack Watts. He's 196cm tall, quick, has sticky hands (I mean on the field you dirty people) and is a beautiful user of the ball. On paper he should be a star.Problem is, AFL is a contact sport and Jack deals about as well with contact as your average soccer striker.Above: almost as bad as Clayton Oliver, presumably mentored by WattsHe was taken at pick 1 in the 2008 draft, which hurts even more because every other pick 1 has been a superstar *cough*.Taken at pick 2 in the same draft was the walking marketing phenomenon NicNat who is the best in the AFL in his position when fully fit. Other stars taken in the top ten that draft include Vickery, Hurley and Yarren making it closer to a police line up than a draft class. It's also the year for notable hairstyles with some important inspirations:Julian "Not Convicted" AssangeSide Show BobTom Hanks in CastawaySide Show CecilJack Watts hasn't exactly set the world on fire since his career began in a gang-tackle at the MCG - he's been handy from time to time but in no way has lived up to the hype. Granted Melbourne's development program has screwed more teenagers in the past few years than a Justin Bieber party held in Seaford but Jack just doesn't play a modern, contested, desperate style of football. Seems like the perfect AFL X player though (unlike many their other early Melbourne picks who have become AFL ex players). He did play well against Essendon (as a Brighton Grammar Private Schoolboy he obviously has strong morals) and then the rest of the season happened. A 5 kick effort the next week, hamstring issues, then intensity issues. Some of his chases from round 18 onwards would have been better handled (and more entertaining) if performed by Wilde E Coyote. Showing all the intensity of fairy floss he was banished to the VFL for a couple of weeks before earning a recalla farewell game in the last round. It seems he's on the trade table to either Port or Geelong, which means he'll probably be the first Brighton Grammar product to set foot in that part of the world. Hope he's brushed up on his "youse" and "yeah-nah" in preparation otherwise the locals will have no idea what he's actually saying.Jack, good luck with your new home. With a solid pre-season I'm sure we'll see you back on your knees in no time.Votes this time will be counted, welcome to the Bottom 50 for 2017.

No White for MFC Clash Jumpers for Season 2018
I must be the only one that doesn't mind wearing a white clash jumper for what averages to be once a month - yes ONCE a month. I thought we had way more issues to worry about than a clash jumper.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BALIC
Can someone direct me to the "GET EXCITED HARLEY BALIC" video on afl.com?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BALIC
I like the fact that he's only on a 1 year contract as opposed to the Michie's, Newtons and Riley's of this world that clogged the list for 2-3 years.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Not sure he's as good as Rance but may have Damien Gaspar, Tom Gillies and James Seller covered.
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
And those same fans will be screaming for 2 top 5 picks for Lever.
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
If we traded Petracca for Lever and Lever ends up having the better career and we also retain our picks, then we'd win on that trade right?
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
On the Sunday footy show, Barrett supremely confident we'll get Lever but it's going to cost us big time and we're not just talking salary cap.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
You what?
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
JKH for Lever. Hopefully Adelaide can throw in a sweetener to seal the deal.
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Well Carlton were willing to offer JFK a 3 year contract either last year or the year before, so perhaps Carlton will eventually get their man.
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Could Dom Tyson be in the mix here? Crows need more midfield options - albeit one that doesn't turn the ball over as much. And as others have mentioned, ANB could be a sweetener to a first round draft pick. Has he even signed for us next year?
