  1. Lever to make his return on Queens Birthday?
  2. And it probably didn't help that we kicked the first 3 goals of the game. From that point the players probably saw it as a percentage booster.
  3. Except for the stat that says they're 3-1.
  4. Will certainly be our first scalp of the year if we can get over St Kilda. Saw them live today and they’re a quality footy side. Anyone who disagrees is stuck in 2018.
  5. Who was the poster who said Frost was poor? Thought he did a great job on Buddy and used his pace to advantage at times. Only stuffed up twice, but I’m pretty sure most of the other players stuffed up at least twice. I’m not a big fan but as was proven late last year, if you give him some continuity of games, he can be quite serviceable.
  6. I like Bruce but I’ve been disappointed he hasn’t gone with his favourite line so far this year: ”you just feel that if *insert club* gets the next goal there back in this, DON’T YOU?” And he can’t pronounce Salem properly to save himself.
  7. Excellent last quarter. His 52 metre goal was a massive steadier. His set shots for goal have become elite.
  8. St Kilda will be a tough assignment and they exposed us for pace last year as the large expanses of the G. A win of any sorts would be fantastic in the scheme of things. However, if we managed to win by 5 goals we'd be 2-3 with a percentage of 85%. Last year after round 5 we were 2-3 with a percentage of 88%. No more than 2 changes. In - Lewis Jetta Out - One of the Wagners, O Mac (if concussed)
  9. Why is Jetta already cooked by round 4? I'll answer my own question, he was in rehab until the new year. It's going to be the story of the season sadly.
  10. Doesn't surprise me. Most players get up the following week with non-serious ankle injuries
  11. We're cooked if we lose tonight. Even if we scrap a win over St Kilda, we'll be outclassed by Richmond (who may have Cotchin and Jack back) and then be 1-5. Nobody's coming back from 1-5...yeah I know Sydney did it at 0-6 but that's a once in a life time occurrence.
  12. At least by Martin playing against Sydney there's a 1% chance he'll re-offend and cop another suspension or get injured, and miss Anzac Eve. Clutching at the shortest straw possible....
  13. Hopefully that is offset/mitigated by Sydney's 5 day break.
  14. Excuse of the week by the club - "we had back to back 6 day breaks".
  15. It's bizarre in that Tom Morris from 3AW specifically stated that the AFL will play the game at the SCG regardless of how dangerous the turf is, as they don't have a contingency plan. Hard to believe it in this day in age of OH&S.
  16. Anyone know what happened to Viney’s burst out of the packs which has been his trade mark over the years?
  17. Would be up there in the Brownlow with 4-6 votes thus far.
  18. That’s a horrifying stat considering Buddy hasn’t exactly been around for 5 minutes. We beat Hawthorn in Buddy’s second year but he didn’t play that night.
  19. It's not good enough is it.
  20. Tom Morris (3AW) confirmed that the game will go ahead even if the stadium is deemed unsafe, because they don’t have a contingency plan. Could’ve sworn GWS play at another stadium in Sydney....
  21. I thought KK showed a bit in the last qtr. Worth persisting with. ANB on the other hand- has to be dropped for that weak marking attempt when the heat was on in the 3rd qtr. That and he’s been pathetic for the first 3 games, plus the 3 pre season games.
  22. And I’d look at playing Oscar McDonald as a small forward this week.
  23. Certainly is. Massive amount of leadership lost for there for the Swans.
  24. GC are miles fitter and miles more prepared for the season than us. Went to both games this weekend (Melb V Ess & WB V GC) and the comparison in fitness, determination and hunger was stark between GC and us.
