Donate your old Melbourne guernsey to the Lord Mayor's Charitable Fund at this years game (I assume at the MELBOURNEfc Megastore), and you'll get a $20 discount on THIS years 150th Special Edition guernsey.

Great way to give something to charity, spread the Melbourne love, and pick up one of this year's jumpers.

Also - two players will be in attendance to SIGN your new guernseys from 1.15pm - 1.45pm before the game on Sunday.

THIS IS A ONCE OFF ONLY FOR THIS SUNDAY'S GAME.

How old are we talking? LOL i have an old woolen one...

As long as its wearable - they'll accept anything I think.

Why the hell would you trade-in an old Melbourne guernsey?!?!?!

I have more than 10 of them and would not trade them for anything less than a premiership!

There is so much history and each guernsey has it's own memories.... Not too mention blood, sweat and tears (Used to punch on a bit after footy)

Trading them in is a horrible thought!

You would have to kill me before you got my Rodney Grinter guernsey!!!

SAME.

What is the charity doing with the old ones?

I still have my old one from 1987. It's got number 2 on the back (of course) and was the only jumper that featured the old VFL emblem with our current colours. I'm not sure I could bear to part with it. (not that I would actually squeeze into it anymore) I assume people will still be able to buy the new guernsey at full price and still get it signed?

same here ,had no lgos though, just number 1 , o dwyer

Haha I had one of these as well. Think mine might have been the old royal blue with just a vfl logo and number 1 on the back, was a long time ago now.

I'm the same as most here and am reluctant to part with my old favourites. What are the chances they'd take training guernseys, I have one of the old bright orange Fila ones I picked up on the cheap when we shifted over to Asics?

I was wanting to add a 150th guernsey to my collection, preferably a match worn one from the afl auctions site but we don't seem to be auctioning any, might have to buy one straight off the shelf.

I think it's a great idea. It encourages us to buy the 150 year guernsey, it also gives something to charity, plus it gets all of those old Melbourne jumpers onto people around the city.

Supporters win = cheaper 150 guernsey

Charity wins = more clothes to keep people warm

MFC wins = sell more 150 guernsies + have more exposure/supporters with kids wearing Melbourne jumpers around the place.

I really like the idea and will probably be bringing down all the jumpers that don't have any personal value.

I have one from 1997. It's been washed so much the red has turned to pink. No s***.

i think its 100 or 110

Yep - its $100 normally, so $80 this week with trade-in ONLY.

Get down there, there are only positives in doing this.

Hopefully the club will be able to donate a heap of jumpers to charity tomorrow, as well as sell a few hundred more "150 Year" guernseys in the process.

Get down there tomorrow.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
