I hope someone knocks out Judd. Thatd what I really want, even more than a win.

I want to see that money hungry [censored] get carried off on a stretcher, to the cheers of Demon fans

We can win, but should we?

If we help Carltank get another Priority pick (they could get poss' picks 1 & 2), I will POSSITIVELY go right off, Fair dinkum, the teams we don't want to help get the cream is Carltank & the Tiges ( who we play twice this year) & the Blue oyster boys once.

The teams I'd like to beat are Freo, Wet toast, & Saints.

Jamar vs. Kruezer- If Jamar doesn't fall on him awkwardly and crush him to death at the first bounce, we're screwed.

He can then do a Barry Hall on Judd and leave the game as "the guy who knocked out Judd" instead of "the guy who got 1 possession a game over 4 seasons".

This is definitely a danger game for the Blubaggers.... without trying too hard they'll probably win and use up one of their games they can win and stil lget a prize !!

They'll be sweating on this one !!;);)

please can we win this one to show judd what an awful side he plays for, no matter how much money they throw about. this is the one result i reallly want this year!

btw, listening to the wafl results & votes, natanui wasn't in the best players, got, i think, 16 possessions. the boy rich who plays for subi seems to be considered the best of the WA talent this year.

If i could choose WHICH games melbourne would rop this season, it would be both against Carltank. I cannot sit back and watch them add a 4th number 1 pick into a nice pool of young kids.

I would not mind losing this game, as long as it is not by 20+ points. I do NOT want Calrtank getting the number 1 pick.

In all honesty, I think we COULD win, but I am not sure what our intentions are or Carltanks this season, so anything could happen.

i would rather we play with dignity and actually try to win before its all too late and weve forgotten how to win

its all good to say "lets play the young bloods week in week out and get extra draft picks" but you have to instill a winning culture or they're not gonna be used to winning and knowing how to win...it was like when we played the doggies at TD last year: we were always in the game and with under a minute left, were in front thanks to a great sylvia contested mark...instead of getting numbers in defense with 39 seconds to go, we tried to take risks and the bulldogs got a goal to hit the lead and were then signalled by their captain for almost their entire team to flood back at that stage, something we should have done

anyway, thats a random story but for a lot of of our younger players like morton, who have still not won and are playing every week, their gonna get used to playing in a losing side that is too flat to actually win and are used to just getting by each week and thinking about their own game... they wont know how to play with excitement and flair

what im trying to say is that i desperately hope we can win this one...i really do...for dignity's sake

Not a chance in Hell of us beating the Blues next week

We need to keep playing the kids and get ready for the mother of all Clean Outs at the end of the year.

Not sure its that easy. Holland, Neitz and, I think, White are out of contract, so OK. But Robbo, Green and Bruce are not - Green and Bruce might be trade-able - but not for 1st rnd picks. So who else?

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak

    MELBOURNE BUSINESS by The Oracle

In days of old, this week’s Thursday night AFL match up between the Demons and the Blues would be framed on the basis of the need to redress the fact that Carlton “stole” last year’s semi final away from Melbourne and with it, their hopes for the premiership.  A hot gospelling coach might point out to his charges that they were the better team on the night in all facets and that poor kicking for goal and a couple of lapses at the death cost them what was rightfully theirs. Moreover, now was

UNDER THE PUMP by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons have been left languishing near the bottom of the VFL table after suffering a 32-point defeat at the hands of stand alone club Williamstown at Casey Fields on Sunday. The Demons suffered a major setback before the game even started when AFL listed players Ben Brown, Marty Hore and Josh Schache were withdrawn from the selected side. Only Schache was confirmed as an injury replacement, the other two held over as possible injury replacements for Melbourne’s Thursday night fixt
