News: Get ready for Season 150

With our season opener against the Hawks just twelve days away, it is time to start getting excited about our 150th birthday year. To launch this special season, this Friday’s edition of The Age newspaper will include a 36-page MELBOURNEfc commemorative liftout reflecting on our Club’s grand history, including interviews with Club greats including Ron Barassi and Robert Flower, and those responsible for the next chapter of our history in Dean Bailey and Chris Connolly

Great news!!!! We are trying

That is really good news. Will remind ppl that this year is a celebration not one of utter dissapointment

Our partnership with the Age is turning into a good one, if nothing else Stephen Harris should be applauded for getting this deal sorted (seeing as his previous employer before us was the Age)..

The liftout looks fantastic from the thumbnail pic of it in the members email!

can someone post the pic of the thumbnail that is in the email? I dont understand why ALL members like myself do not receive these emails..

Is Walker a Melbourne man?

I would imagine it is only a matter of informing the club of your e-mail address by phone, email or on your renewal notice.

I get a little tired of the above comment. I am sure the club would want your info so you can feel included! If you have a complaint then fix it.

Shame the release is on the back of The Age negative stories about us yesterday.

How do you know we had any special deal beyond arms length rates that would apply to any Club?

But for the record, I think it is a great issue and good timing before the start of the season.

Well done MFC.

The liftout is a great read.

Except for this in the timeline:

1982: Brian Wilson wins the Brownlow, having won his first with Collingwood in 1979.

Ahem!

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
