seems to be the most talked about youngster on our list atm. has been burning it up in pre season and i dont mean to put any pressure on himbut i dont even think aaron davey had this much hyped about before he started. i hope he kills it nab cup! this is a boy who would give everything to play an afl game! has the right head on his shoulders and he would help us a bit and free up aaron davey into the midfield. just watched a footage of him and he is soodarn impressive!

Why are you talking this kid up as a superstar? You base your assessment on one poster saying he was training well for a rookie and one decent performance in a practice match. It hardly justifies the expectation you are dumping on him. Let the kid develop and if he does well - that's fantastic. Yes Davey did have a lot more hype as 'the excitement machine.' Austin is not necessarily in the same mold as Davey (personality wise). He's just a rookie having a red hot crack and good luck to him

There's no harm in this, he's just expressing his passion.

I much prefer hearing from people like DD, than those who only have something negative to say (no shortage of them on here)

From Demonology:

I was able to catch about an hour of todays' training session at the Junction Oval.

My brief observations:

-Austin Monamerri (?) looks like a dead set AFL player already. His skills are awesome, particularly his kicking. Absolute delight to watch after years of watching Godders and Bruce attept to kick a footy.

My prediction is that Aussie will be elevated on to the senior list at the very first opportunity, should we be unlucky enough to sustain a longterm injury.

    With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    HORE ON FIRE by Meggs

    The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals.     The Mighty Demons take on the confident Cats this Saturday night at the recently completed $319 million redeveloped GMHBA Stadium, with the bounce of the ball at 7:15pm.
