I know people must be sick of this, but it is the off season so anybody that hasn't got a membership, it is now time!!

http://www.melbournefc.com.au/Membership/t...13/Default.aspx

Or for people that already have a membership, time to renew!

And for all those MCC members that get that weak $50 membership card and scard, try to save up and get the real membership..i mean you are MCC members after all

Shall wait for renewal forms.

One day I will stop being a student and I will actually earn some decent money and then I will upgrade my membership. Can't justify $800 a season... yet.

But please, everyone, save up your money and SIGN UP. A couple of hundred dollars is not much in the big scheme of things, especially if it helps better our club, and it will. If you can't afford it still, get your parents/kids/partner to buy it for you for Christmas. :)

or...put $10 dollars in a jar each week and after 4 months you will have $160!!!

I want to know when those bastards are going to send my renewal forms. I WANT to sign up, but I can't very well do so without the forms.

No need to call the membership department bastards. If you want to sign up use the website as has been suggested.

Now that Clintosaurus has informed me that a tie will be on offer instead of yet another scarf, I might just do that.

"We are sending out the forms in Alphabetical order" is what i was told by Andrew in the membership office. I have had mine for about a month now, signed it up and put a request in for reserved seating.

Well thats odd, because my surname starts with C; if you've had yours for a month they must have taken a pretty long break.

Looks like surname discrimination strikes again!

My surname is down the very bottom of the alphabet. When I was a kid at school, the teachers used to say "right, when I call your name you can go", then tick down the roll alphabetically. Used to annoy me no end because I was always one of the last to get let out.

Maybe I'll have to change my surname to Aaron by deed poll.

My surname starts with C too, and I haven't received anything either.

Just wait patiently and they'll come. It's only October, still about a month until they start calling you and threatening to kill you if you don't sign up... or at least that's what I suggest they do

I'm going to be interested to see how they market our 150th anniversery, i mean with the whole changing of the gaurd thing i would hope they'd have a slogan like "celebrate the past, look to the future". I will certainly get on board again, and i would think most people here would as well, i'm hoping to get a couple of my mates who are Dees fans and MCC to joing up (i may even pay the $50 as a birthday present or something).

Actually the 40 dollar membership is a great way to slowly cull out the MCC members who don't sign up. I am an MCC member and see the walls between the the footy club and the MCC everyweek. This is a fantastic way to slowly break those walls down.

I can't wait to get my membership (Not MCC version) and continue to help the club.

And don't you guys worry, I will continue to spend my time before games in the bars and resturants convincing the old fogies to get behind the club, and buy a membership.

Me too with the surname, and I haven't got mine either (& I just thought I would join the chorus here!!!)......

But then again I am interstate and that has been known to be a hold up in the past.

But you know what they say, patience is a virtue ;) :D !!!

    MORE FIERCE by Meggs

We’re back!  Winning the last three matches has recaptured our Demon spirit and, with superstar players returning from rehab, our Season 2024 dreams are not over yet.   So come along 5.05 pm Saturday afternoon to watch this Round 9 ladder-defining match at the Field of Dreams. Expect the Tigers to be fierce, but surely the Demons will be more fierce. Playing conditions are expected to be a dry 15 degrees with a typically gusty Cranbourne wind. The media opprobrium of the ill-consi

    IN FRONT by Meggs

In this must-win clash between Melbourne 11th on the ladder and St Kilda 8th, it was the Demons who were in front all day to win in a hard-fought Round 8 clash to make it three in a row to keep theit slim finals chances alive. A good crowd of enthusiastic footy families for week 2 of Pride Round had gathered.  The full pews in the well-appointed RSEA Park grandstand provided excellent viewing.   The Saints won the toss and elected to kick to the southern end favoured by a strong 2-3 g

    THE TRADING CHRONICLES 02

Part 2: Watching grass grow by Whispering Jack Critics of test cricket (and I’m not one of them) will often claim the sport is excruciatingly boring: that following a five day match is much like watching grass grow. However, the longest form of that game has nothing on the first week of the AFL trade period when it comes to inducing sleep among those in the football public who follows this process in its somnolent moments. The week gone by has been no exception. Only two player trades

    THE CAVALRY ARRIVES by Meggs

The injury plague which has beset the Demons 2024 campaign is finally starting to dissipate and with consecutive wins over GWS Giants and a 2-point nail-biter in Adelade, a sense of optimism is rising.  Some commentators are now asking whether the Dees can make finals? A huge surprise with team selection this week when it was announced that champs Olivia Purcell, Paxy Paxman and Eden Zanker would play.   Hallelujah!  The cavalry has arrived. St Kilda missed the finals last season on pe

    GOLDIE'S METTLE by Meggs

On a perfect night for football at the home of the Redlegs, Norwood Oval, it was the visiting underdogs Melbourne who led all night and hung on to prevail in a 2-point nail-biter. In the previous round St Kilda had made it a tough physical game to help restrict Adelaide from scoring and so Mick Stinear set a similar strategy for his team. To win it would require every player to do their bit on the field plus a little bit of luck.  Fifty game milestoner Sinead Goldrick epitomised
