Big Whisper out of Perth

Lads,

Heard from a good source (Lipon), who is quite close to someone on the West Coast board, that West coast are very interested in securing the services of one Bradley Miller. Its only early days, but if Judd does choose Melbourne, they would be willing to trade him for Pick 4 and Bradley.

Now, I was devestated upon hearing this news.

I am sure you will all agree, that Miller is a required player. In fact in my opinion an untouchable.

I agree Judd is a very good footballer, but a trade like this would set our club back 5-10 years.

Miller is a once in a generation player, and if he was given more bloody opportunities, we could all marvel at the legend from Mount Gravatt.

Granted, he had a down game in last year's Semi Final against Fremantle, and he does not lead well or handball enough, however his kicking, marking and on-field leadership are second to none.

His workrate and dedication are admirable, and players like James McDonald and Brock Mclean, would do themselves no disservice by taking a leaf out of the great man's book.

I feel that a deciscion like this coupled with the premature departure of Neale Daniher, will steer the club in the wrong direction.

Yours truly,

Barry Miller

fantastic!

barry, just wondering if you think working with an ex mt gravat coach will hinder millers performances at all? we all know that sometimes going back to the past can cause a relapse to old form. could this be a reason to trade him?

one other question barry, is it cheaper for you to get flights to melb or perth from your home in queensland?

Yours truly,

Barry Miller

I think his father's name's Neville, not Barry and other than that it's a bit over the top with sarcasm but you're on the right tram. Don't forget that Bradley played an impeccable game in a final at Subiaco last year and the Weagles need another tall forward. Perhaps Barry or Neville could persuade them to take the player only and leave the draft pick with us.

It appears to me that you guys are insinuating that I am somehow related to Bradley. I should be so lucky to be part of his Miller lineage (although God did bless me with the same surname as Bradley).

In answer to your question, I actually think Brad will flourish under his old coach. Apparantly, he was used as a major motivation for Bailey to apply for the job.

I dont know why you are all so keen on this trade, players like (Sir) Bradley Miller, come along quite infrequently.

We have already lost Heath Nevile, lets ensure Brad is not lost to our proud club.

Gah. I was hoping this would be a big fat legitimate rumour. I don't know about anyone else but I find myself trawling every last corner of the internet at present for the latest Judd "goss".

I can't remember the last time I was this rumour thirsty.

Funny none the less though, nice post!

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
