Judd's Worth

Hahaha. Some of these calls about Judd to Carlton I find more than a little amusing. Oh it was but a couple of months back that you could replace the word 'Judd' with 'Voss' in some of the above comments. Even the same phrases 'signed sealed and delievered' and other such rubbish.

Lol he won't be at Carlton.

I agree. I lost count of the number of people who reckon they had a source at Carlton with the whole Voss saga. No doubt they had a source, but in most cases the sources turned out to just be rumourmongers who liked the sound of their own voices.

Forgive me for being just a little bit skeptical of anyone who claims to have a "source" at Carlton.

Not calling u a liar but i find it hard to believe a deal's done 2 days after their season finished.

From all reports John Worsfold hasn't even talked to Judd about it and i refuse to believe Judd's gonna accept a deal without even telling Worsfold he's going.

Hell for all we know, Judd's still tossing the idea around of should he stay or go.

To me, it sounds like typical arrogant Blues supporter who thinks they can get anybody.

Remember Voss to Carlton. Zero from one.

You could be right that it is just another big mouth Carlton supporter ( hoping). However I note that Judd has called a press conference at 6.00 PM tonight that should enlighten us a little more. Also Worsfold was quoted as saying he would not stand in Judd's way if he wanted to come home and that suggests he knows a bit about it. Further I was amazed that the WCE kept playing Judd when he was obviously seriously injured, ( the papers call it a career ending type of injury if not fixed). If they knew he was going, they could have decided what the hell, make him play and his new club can suffer if he doesn't come up.

I for one am hoping we go hard for him. It's about time MFC had a player who was dominant in the AFL.

The only concern I would have is that if we are paying him 1.1 million a year. Will that mean we wont be able to get enough quality players around Judd?

I'm sure Chris isn't the sort of person overly concerned with money when it comes to playing for the team he supported.

I have been one of the negative posters that were saying "No" to Chris Judd....

I have now officially changed my mind!

The more I think about it, the more I like it.....

Being a Melbourne boy at heart and wanting to come back to Victoria has pretty much given me a stiffy!

We are struggling to come up with a 100% agreed upon replacement for Neitz as captain of our great club.....

Judd would maybe drop a few hundred thousand $$$ a year to be wearing the colours he was dreaming about as a junior!!

I can't see him going to Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon or Richmond.... If the kid barracked for the Dees then those choices are a disgusting thought!

If we offload TJ, Davey and our 1st draft pick????? I am pretty confident we would have Judd wearing no. 3 for the Red 'n Blue!!

Exciting times at Demonland!

PS. I know this is a huge change of opinion for myself, but I have done some serious thinking this weekend and have decided that things can't get any worse! We've waited long enough!!!

My source is on the Carlton Board .

Would you believe and trust 1 word that came out of the Carlton football club.

Would you believe and trust 1 word from the supporters & cheer squad that were barracking for their team to lose ... remember how they mocked us ... taunted us for winning. Remember ... "We got Kreuzer.. Melbourne are losers" ... their words not mine.

Would you believe and trust 1 word when you have ex President, ex-captains and legends of the club saying ... "Yes this is a game we need lose"

The Carlton Football Club has zero creditability.

What makes you so sure?

i've heard his manager talk about him on the radio... he said if there was one thing he would say about Chris Judd, it is that he's a man not motivated by money, and the way the man comes across in the media, it doesn't surprise me one bit...

lets hope he loved the dees enough that he wants to come back and play for us...

I want Judd more than anyone, but that is way too much to give up

I wonder if he's going to do an Akermanis and actually name his favoured destination?

Well the press conference is at 6 today

If he has already decided , and it happens to be the Demons...

Then Sunday the 16th of September, 2007 will be the greatest day of my life !!!!

The thought of him in a Carlton jumper makes me feel ill.

I suspect they'll field offers from interested clubs and make a decision on his preference pretty quickly.

Judd and Carlton just doesn't quite sit with me. It just doesn't seem right and I just can't see it happening.

If Melbourne do get Judd, then forget about needing Sheedy to "promote the club". Just having Judd in the red and blue will be enough promotion as it is.

Just stumbled across this on ninemsn.....

Blow for Eagles as Judd heads east

http://wwos.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=296384

I will be pretty dirty if the blues land him, after the way they finished out the year and snagged two early picks and now they can use these as leverage to land the best player in the game today just makes the game a shambles.

It's my understanding that Carlton cannot use their priority pick in any way, shape or form as trade bait. So that would leave them at best with pick 3 and.........Fevola the headcase?

Comeon Dees!

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
