Clearly, I wasn't trolling if I stated it was sarcasm. Champ

Love sarcasm but draw the line at the word champ.

After every one had long gone there was me and Kalani chatting for about half an hour. We talked about a bunch of things: his return to good health, his living sitch with Kolt and Luker, the things the whole group does together in their free time and (stop reading if you’re grossly offended by the mere mention of an 18yo boy talking to a middle-aged woman about his girlfriend and their relationship and about his ex and why that didn’t work out, etc., so grossly offended that you feel compelled to come post about your repulsion on here), a wide range of subjects.

Anyways I mentioned Jeff then apologised adding he must be sick of his dad coming up in every convo with us sentimental fans. He surprised me with what he said about this. He said he not only understands it but he loves it and that Jeff has explained it to him. He said becoming a Demon was never in question and that’s largely because of what Jeff’s told him about our club and our fans.

This is a wise head on young shoulders and we’re blessed to have him.

Jeffo wasn’t at either session. However, I was talking with Bez (OB38) and he said this week’s match (VFL) will be great because they’ll have Jeffo and Luker up forward.

This is seriously the worst troll attempt i have ever read on DL- bloke has his best game for the MFC and you reckon he was poor?

Are you an AI trollbot?

Agree it was actually pretty pathetic.

I just ran into CJ. He’s looking at three weeks on the sidelines. No strapping or bandaging on his calf because “The news, man. They can be anywhere, don’t want them knowing any more than they already do.” Naturally he’s bummed about the injury but he says it’s not as bad as what some others are dealing with.

Well its not like they dont know enough as it is. Calf injuries arent mysteries.

Many thanks Ghosty, love your work.

Thanks Slartz, my job would be easier if you and ‘Banger could drag your sorry arzes here. You know I’m not good at reporting which players are or aren’t here nor just reporting in general. 🤨

Now I’ve gotta face @Roost it far and his unreasonable demands on my own.

Since when has that stopped them getting up in injured players’ faces? Especially on a slow- or no-news day. Anyways, while it may not bother some players, clearly CJ isn’t enamoured with it.

I suspect so as well. Melksham would be the obvious replacement if fit but wonder if they'll put Kentfield in if he's recovered from his knee as well

Luker has to play at least one Casey game. He said he’s confident he’ll be lining up for Casey this weekend. I said maybe you’ll debut in Gather Round vs Essendon. I don’t remember it, but I’ve clearly at some point told him how I feel about Essendon because he said, “How would you feel about that? Reckon you’ll be ok?” 😅

I had the distinct displeasure of watching Essendon this week vs Norf

My goodness what a rabble of a club they are - if we lose to them in gather round like we have done before my head may explode

Let's not forget their maiden win with top-up players was against us too. I was at the 'G that day and we made them look like a top four side. It was absolutely infuriating and nauseating.

Injuries piling up is a bit of a concern, we don't have that much depth at this stage of the list development....be nice to get a few soldiers back soon.

A huge thanks to Ghostwriter, all posters and special comments, I particularly enjoy the interpersonal info GW, you keep it real for all of us.👍💕

Not doubting the intel but seems a bit unfair that they say he was dropped and he's carrying something . Doesn't that impact his standing / reputation? Or is it more that they don't want opposition to know (surely they can work it out if that were the case)?

He was “omitted “ part of that was knee soreness.. part team balance &

Rather lame attempt at sarcasm..but each to their own with whatever rocks their boat ..

Don't worry I hadn't forgotten that one either - everything about them makes me want to barf

Thanks @Ghostwriter for the updates.

And…to sum other comments within this thread - a sarcasm emoji would be a champion idea.

Hi GW, great reporting and posts as usual. Plenty of interest in what you have to say and player updates are appreciated.

Looking forward to Luker playing.

It will be interesting to see who comes in for Cross and CJ - its wait and see.

They will be looking toward that game as their win or else game, me thinks.

Yes Ghosty thanks heaps

I love their streak of finals losses but I hate that their last winning final was against us.

This is #2510 on my reasons for hating Essendon list

Unless they get over the unbeaten Dogs this week they will be out to avoid breaking what would be a club record of 18 consecutive defeats when they take us on in Adelaide.

Great report Ghosty.A 1 / 2 conversation is a long time .

You certainly know how to get a player to open up.

Especially about his private life.

You should talk to the club about you interviewing players for the club website .

Seriously.

( and paying $$$ ! )

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
