Clarry was good last night

doesn't mean we weren't right to trade him

(and gws have been terrible over their first 4 games so hard to argue he makes them better)

I'll be cheering on North tonight. I hope they belt the bombers

I am really struggling to watch a full game at the moment.

Adelaide v dogs & lions v dogs were both good games. But yeah I've been flicking & not really watching

2 games down and no hanmies pinged, guess that’s a good start.

Not sure what's up with Hogan this year. Miles off his 2024/25 form.

Maybe Jess is pining for the Demons??

Yeah well Neutral , really Dazz? Sounds pretty biased! I watched the whole game and Clarry was clearly GWS best player! Check the stats and get back to me if u personally disagree! Um and mudfielder Rivers has been dropped!!! Gees We could do with a Clayton Oliver NOW!

Oh come on, take the Clarrie coloured glasses off! Both Callaghan and Whitfield were far more effective with ball in hand in a midfield that was soundly beaten.

giants have had a very poor start to the season

Maybe Taylor, Buckley, Green, Daniels, Jones, Bedford, Kelly and Cadman not playing have something to do with it.

Best game by Clarrie for some time. His handballing finesse was back to his finest, lightning quick and hitting the target. You need to take a closer look!

Nice banner gws

Yeah great banner… before the match. This is one reason we wouldn’t do a similar thing because it’s all well and good when your team goes on to win but looks so foolish after a loss, especially a loss like the one they incurred last night.

Another case in point…

Yep back to elite, his hardball gets out of traffic gave GWS some great transitions his best game in 2 years, not his fault they lost!

injuries a factor for sure. Greene a huge loss, Taylors an excellent defender.

They've been well beaten by a pies team that are no world beaters, beaten off the park by the doggies and lost at home to the saints.

Their issues are more than just missing personnel

Yes I noticed his handballing. I also noticed his lack of defensive pressure when the opposition repeatedly burst from clearance. There's a reason King asked him to change his game style, he clearly hasn't. I'll stand by my comment that he is becoming less relevant in the modern game. If he is GWS best midfielder then they are in a lot of trouble

LOVE the Brisbane jumpers.

LOVE Jess Webster in commentary.

Don’t love Ross Lyon.

The throwback Fitzroy guernsey looks great. Would it date back to when they were known as the gorillas? I wish they still were.

I only have half an hour to watch footy this arvo, and I get the Saints v Lions game. What an absolute dull howler. If you think some our skills were poor in the 1st quarter v Freo, this game is another level of bad all together.

20 minutes in

1.12 kicked total

12 free kicks

Claz a VG first half. The second pretty shabby and zero defensive pressure on opponents. Looks to be a fair way off the pace after HT for mine

Story of the Giant's night, really. Looked like they should have been dominating if not for umpiring by half time, but then they started to fall behind on the 'optional' running and were constantly in urgent, panicky situations. Some really good play but it would be three against four over and over.

Ross Lyon teams are awful to watch

Saints need to give him the old heave ho and get a modern coach.

Seriously considering converting to the NRL. A much better spectacle for TV

theres been a few poor games this season but i reckon this spectacle is on track to be the worst

Is there a jumper clash?

trying to figure out why the Saints keep kicking it to the Lions

they are trash

This melee is the most exciting thing so far in this game

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
