Has Latrelle touched it at all?

Lingers playing a HHF role? Jeepers

I love how Steele hung the kick to give our two forwards a chance and none of them went for it allowing the Freo defender to mark.

And there's the difference. Treacy is marking & kicking goals & van rooyen is dropping them tonight & brody & fritta have been quiet

Couple of times. One OOTF

I don't have vision but I'm piecing together the following;

The offensive momentum isn't happening because of simple errors like fumbles and poor kicks and dumb handballs.

The disorganised defence is being doubly exposed because of the frequent turnovers, fast opposition movement, and Treacy just being too big, strong and good for any given one of our defenders.

We're not quite dropping our heads, it is more like we are just mentally overwhelmed and stalling.

Does that sound about right?

Can we get Pickett a pair of shorts that fit!

XL and Langford look shot, no confidence. What ?

Lindsay adapting to half back against real pressure for the first time.

Harvey doing a lot of good stuff but he’s been off the pace all preseason. Hes not built for March footy, but he needs to sharpen up. Quality is still there

I think they were pumped up a bit too much last year… pair them with Windsor and we are scared undersized and under experienced

This is getting ugly

Other than Steele and Koz (when on) the other mids have had zero impact tonight so far

Here’s King’s first big challenge. Goody was criticised, and rightly so, for just watching games play out with no changes. What are we going to do here? Can’t let freo run away with 100pt win, because that’s very possible right now.

Langford can't even pick up and easy ball. Early days but concerned with his and XL form.

Kolt doing a good defensive job me thinks.

So much bombing away. The players are out. 1 extra handball or short kick and we are on!

Entries in to the F50 ...mostly back to baing ordinary tonight.

Bombs and no separation leads.

Absolute trash forward of 50

This is a good watch.

Look for some of the kids doing something notable. Look for any tactical changes made at 3qtr time that stem the bleeding. We have some serious flaws in our list. Let King sort out the ones we want and the ones we need to re-consider.

How Sparrow gets a game every week I will never understand

Couldn't agree more.

If he and Fritta ain't dropped then this club isn't doing itself any favours.

Shame jvr kicks six and can't take a trick tonight.

Max as usual gives us so much.

Too many passengers.

We've given up.

The big frustration is the total lack of composure.

The old hospital hanballs...turnovers and poor kicking . Often straight to a Freo player.

Freo are a good side but unfortunately we are making them look much better.

It's early days.

  • PREVIEW: Gold Coast

Melbourne’s slow starts have been a troubling theme for a while. Against the Suns, they started slowly in both of their games, they trailed by 5.7.37 to 0.1.1 at quarter time at Peoples First Stadium in Round 16. This season, the story has remained the same and if the Demons fail to shake off this issue against the unbeaten Gold Coast Suns, they will be in serious danger of capitulating once again in their Easter Sunday showdown.

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
