New rules - teams just have 5 doms on the bench now.

That's 4 more doms than I need.

If you hate the pregame nonsense there’s a simple solution.

Get yourself a reserve seat. I rock up 2 minutes before the bounce. Happy days.

There's no point in rocking up early anyway. All the decent seats in the ground are reserved anyway.

Little point being a member unless you pay for reserve seats as well - it's BS.

Good energy in the stadium.

Not so much on the telly, of course channel 7 have to remind us about the Saints "greatest comeback in VFL/AFL history " as part of their coverage. I think I'll have the volume on silent so I don't have to listen to the [censored] that will no doubt come from the commentators' mouths.

Good to be back gang.
Here we go.
Let's see what what we've got.

Can someone explain how the drinks payment works now? I just did a pre payment for $20 on my card and walked out with one drink... now there is a pending charge for $20. Is it going to take $20 out every time?

We are in different rooms, not our usual bench& in the other coach's box.

I can't cope with this change

It could be worse. You could have had to change trains to get the game like poor old picket fence.

Dee boys & Dee girls… good luck to us all in 2026

kossie with a poor handball the root cause of that goal

sloppy start

great work JVR in the ruck there. made that goal for windsor

Kolt on Nas

Is King the right guy?

Defenders once again gone to sleep.

Wake up!

very poor kossie. total lack of composure

Eeeek....

After all these years of structure structure structure in defence it is a bit hair-raising not quite knowing who is supposed to be doing what in a given situation.

Bit of a feeling that the defenders are having a bit of the same feeling.

Also, no way in hell that was a free against Lever then.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
