??? Please translate.

Totally forgivable off the superior use of 'whomever'. Ghosty can continue the Chicago drug dealer argot provided she serves up a whomever or whomsoever occasionally.

Anyway, my award for the most outstanding physical specimen at training goes to TMac.

He looks even more of a million dollars than I’ve ever seen him before.

It’s such a shame that he’s nearer the end of his career than the beginning but kudos for his dedication and application.

He laid some bone crunching tackles today too. He has come to play.

So basically more than 40% of the current squad can't be [censored]. What's their excuse?

In jest? I'm sure some coaches and players have pushed too hard and had it backfire. Maybe some of these players could've turned up as moral support. But Goody burned out. It's not a good idea for players to do so too

Didnt know where to out this, but from Mondays session.

Decent watch, prob shouldn’t be showing the players cars and number plates tho.

Would want to improve his kicking considerably. Particularly his round the corner grubber kick.

Definitely. For such a beautiful looking kick, he’s very hit and miss with his field kicking when in transition - either beautifully executed or turnover.

It’s absolutely amazing to me that west coast who have about 4 talented players let jai culley go.

Is Steven May training yet?

Surely right? He’s on the outter. Out of touch and out of shape. Probably could use all pre-season.

Navis mea anguillis plena est. Gratias ago pro laude; mihi ipsi providere conor. Rex novus Melburniae est.

I'm sorry to hear about your unpleasant medical condition. Have to tried eating fertilised sparrow eggs?

Does all this make 2026 or 2025 anno rex primum? Oh noooooo, it's the millenial date debate all over again!

Thanks to all track watchers

Particularly interested in how Kolt, Luker and smaller Max are performing.

Please, leave Sparrow and his wife's family planning in their hands. I'm happy to hear how he's training , but this is TMI. 😂

Another big thanks to Demonland, Ghostwriter, Harvey Wallbanger, joeboy, BLNWBA and all posters and special comments, it’s great to be able to read through all the posts and pick up the vibes hindsight’s and excitement of the preseason and to be back home. Really enjoying the sounds of the sims, player performance, getting a feel for the changes and mood of the group plus revitalised, positive supporter group, loving it.

Had a watch on him Wednesday.

In a drill while the ground was still dewy (slippery), Heath had an easy shot for goal that went sideways off the boot. Loved his response, laughed and went to the back of the queue.

In the sims he was clean when handling the ball (positioned himself well, good read of the plays) and had a kick that went straight through the sticks.

My intial thoughts were, he may need some development, then the skills I saw, showed that his craft is already developing.

Little Max will go alright.

Not even a single house burnt down yet, should we panic?

I saw someone walking around with a barbecue starter, behind the southern goal posts at Goschs during training, so we are not far away.

i thought "ima hafta" was arabic for "hug me"

Can anyone advise if players are being conditioned to shepherding after distributing the ball to another player, ie making space for that player and protecting them to allow them to balance and deliver more precisely.

I have noticed for some time that that instinctive action to shepherd seems to have disappeared with the emphasis on a quick gather and release and then to move on to the next passage of play.

There was a drill for this on the Wednesday.

Kozzie will get 5 weeks if he shepherds because he wasn’t going for the ball

If you run past the ball and elect to bump someone so your team mate can get the football why is that sent to the MRO and not regarded as a shepherd? It’s within 5m of the ball and a footballing act.

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.

Mars is not usually a place known for lighting strikes but on Friday evening it happened twice in the vicinity of the stadium in Ballarat that carries the name and is a half completed building site with limited capacity for spectators.
