I think we all prefer Humphrey linked in there somehow but unless he comes out and says I want a trade to Melbourne then this just may have to do.

Rogers is now off the board so we can forget him as well.

I like those early picks because Taylor has a good strike rate in that kind of range.

What are some kids around the mark, gonna have to start watching some tapes..

Need a player not Picks…!

I will be disappointed with 7 & 8. But if it’s picks we are getting. I would rather there 1st Picks for 2026 & 2027.

Their first pick in 2027 mightn’t come until the late 20s

Very exciting.

Two more elite talent to add to our crop will hopefully set us up for a period of contending or there about similar to how Hawthorn have gone about it.

Josh Lindsay and Xavier Taylor? who do you like around that mark Dazzle?

Sam Grlj (Butters like), Sully Robey, Josh Lindsay, Dyson Sharp, Osker Taylor and Mitch Marsh are the names that should be on our priority list.

Interesting that geelong have offered 2025, 2026 and 2027 first rounders for 30 year old curnow.

He is 28 and they will be a pick in the early 20’s, teen pick and who knows with the Tassie draft

He does. If this is a 2016 kind of draft, though, he'll need to work a couple of miracles.

Geelong's knack of plucking guns out of nowhere using late picks is seriously going to be tested if they go through with that, especially with Tassie (tentatively) on the horizon.

This will be a disaster if it eventuates.

Double down on this, Club are out of his depth if this is allowed to occur!

If we give up pick 24 as well, we are a laughing stock. That's essentially Trac and McVee for 2 kids in a supposedly weak draft for top end talent.

Tim Lamb strikes again.

Sorry Cameron, that’s a complete Shizzen hoisin deal, we’ll chat again in 2026!!!

Farrrrk yeah … Suns had to stump up a deal

Walk away from that shizzzen deal

We spoke STRONGLY about picks and a player

Lamb has to stand up

Trac might just be putting his backpack into his LOCKER NUMBER 5 again !!!

Lets maybe wait til the trade is finalised before we find the nearest cliff and jump off?

Is giving a pick back essential

Ridiculous if we do.

2 picks is bad enough

Still be looking to walk away at this point and let them stew.

Recent talk has been Richmond man Grlj early and Robey off the board before our pick. Dovaston in our sights too?

Well, you're the one hyperventilating about it, all on the basis of Jay The Newsbreaker Clark. How about you let the draft period unfold more than a couple of days before you Eeyore yourself in the corner. And I'll just sit over here and happy clap, shall I?

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
