While Rowell is on 34 votes, there is only one defender above 5 votes

Time to change the voting panel to a panel of footy experts

What I dont understand is everyone realises there is a crazy bias towards mids. It was obvious last year when one player had twice as many votes as every other except one. But yet they again sit down and give 3 votes to mids for 16 touches. I'm almost certain this is being rigged for betting purposes.

As much as I loathe the Pies, I actually do feel for N Daicos. Cameras all over him, and he is showing grace and respect. Must be tough to be 2nd three years running.

WASH UR FRIGGEN MOUTH OUT! HE IS AS SOFT AS TISSUE PAPER ANNND ANYTHING TO DO WITH ACKNOWLEDGING THIS FERAL ABOMINATION OF A FOOTBALL CLUB SHOULD BE QUASHED

Everyone was talking about Noah Anderson. I thought he & Rowell would take votes off each other.

But I think back to the start of his career when he hurt his shoulder 2 seasons in a row & shortened his seasons.

He deserves this.

What the [censored] is an All Australian jersey? Pretty sure they get jackets, and on field players wear [censored] guernseys!!!!!

AFL congratulating Daicos is sickening

You should apologize to Bont! He is someone who has been robbed several times.

Why congratulate NDaicos? He is just one of hundreds that didn't win it.

The previous two Brownlows they did the exact same thing; made it all about Nicky.

I forgot Cripps still played footy

His 46 votes last year remain a joke

Pretty sure Rowell picked up 3 votes in each of his first three games from his debut before copping an injury.

Very happy for him, he has definitely added a bit of drive out of a contest to his grunt work inside this year.

You sure pick your battles in an unusual way 😂

Bont missed the first 5 games as well. But still polled well

Good to see Matt Rowell* getting up over both Nick Daicos and Bailey Smith 👍😃

  • future Carlton midfielder 😁

Gawny came 9th overall

Trac 23rd

considering our year - very good return!

As was the medal he won after his rightful suspension was thrown out over a technicality 🙄

Cripps 2 Brownlows, Neale 2, Bont 0.

It’s an outrage

If ever we had a team groomed to make the eight with a Brownlow to boot it is Gold Coast this year

He's really not...great player, annoying player and plays for the wrong club.

What a humble bloke. Not once does he appear arrogant.

Love to see him winning.

Better than FIGJAM.

I'm waiting for Peter to come out & unleash

Impressive young man is Rowell and congratulations to him but the voting system and lack of recognition role players is beyond farcical.

The Wanganeen Milera non 3 votes really needs to be investigated.

  • AFLW REPORT: West Coast

Melbourne’s response to last week’s heartbreak was emphatic, as the Demons delivered a statement win over West Coast at a windswept Casey Fields. All of the pre-match hype surrounded the coach’s box matchup of Mick Stinear up against his apprentice, Daisy Pearce along with the gloomy weather forecast. In the end, it was less about tactical chess and more about Melbourne’s relentless execution. With rain looming, the DeeArmy and early birds snapped up the best undercover viewing spots.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.
